My husband had an acute medical need that needed urgent intervention- the surgery were so supportive and helpful. They arranged for him to see a GP within 30minutes and adjusted his medication and reached out to his specialist for further guidance. We felt very supported during a very difficult time.

When texting a patient informing them they have been referred for a procedure it would be an excellent idea to provide a telephone number of where to call if they have not heard anything after a considerable time. This saves the patient jumping through hoops when trying to find out vital information of when and where they will receive this procedure. Thank you.

Despite the fact that it is almost impossible to get a face to face appointment with a doctor, the car park is always packed to the rafters. It is always impossible to find a car park space, not helpful when you are feeling unwell and sends your blood pressure rocketing. The car park is quite clearly not being used only by people visiting the surgery and pharmacy. Please could this be looked into and resolved. I can only imagine that people are parking here whilst going to work in the town. Clearly someone has gone to the effort of putting bollards on the double yellow lines which is not at all helpful and finding who is illegally parking here would surely be more beneficial and not too onerous. It would only take someone to watch who is parking here and where they go. Clearer signs with a threat of a fine might help as well!

Dear Jennie As a result of recent discussions with our Patient Participation Group on Parking we are working on adding more parking warning signs to deter people from at the surgery who are not attending the surgery. We had to add the bollards as people were parking on the double yellow lines preventing ambulances from attending the surgery when called for emergencies. We do not have staff to police the parking as you suggest. It is not a contractual requirement for GP surgeries to have parking (many surgeries have no parking), which we advise on our website. We ask that patients arrive in time for their appointments and to look for parking in the surrounding area. Demand for GP services are currently very high. The symptoms you advise help us ascertain clinical urgency. We aim to offer appointments for urgent symptoms within 48 hours. For routine appointments the wait is currently 2-3 weeks.

My chiropodist advised that I needed some medication outside of her remit. I filled in the Klinik Access on-line service form immediately at 11.00 and had a call back from the Surgery within 10 minutes for an appointment in RAC at 15.00 that afternoon. Diagnosis, procedure prescription from Glade and away at 15.20. I understand a new process is in place. Gets my vote.
