  1. Review titled Terribly rude and refused to be seen.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Needed to be seen for an appointment for my child who has had fever for over a week. Only offered a phone appointment, and the person I spoke to (who refused to give her name and was very rude throughout the call) refused to see the child in person. Not the first time similar things happened either. Called 111 in the end who were able to get me an appointment at an urgent care centre where I received appropriate treatment for my child. Shocking!

  2. Review titled Very Disappointed 😞

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Pain In The Ear - Posted on 24 May 2022

Today I went into my GP surgery just after 9am to find out if I could get a same day appointment as I have been experiencing pain and pressure in my ear, which I believe is caused by an infection. I was told that there aren't any same day appointments left therefore I should 'consult' with NHS 111 online. I informed that I had already done this and the advice given was to speak to my GP urgently. I was then informed that I would be put on the list for a telephone appointment, but I would be last on the list and the call may come any time up to 6:30pm. I thanked the receptionist and waited for my consultation. At 6:30pm on the dot I missed a call from the surgery while I was in the 'bathroom'. I called back at 6:34pm and got an answerphone message advising that the surgery was closed. I'm sitting here in pain and in tears because I just feel so let down by the lack of care, treatment and support evident in GP services in general these days, but at Temple Hill specifically.

Dear Pain in the ear, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you missed the call. We were able to provide you with a same day appointment and we did call you which is actually very good service. Unfortunately, the on call doctor was so busy that he got round to you after the surgery was closed so you were unable to call back. We are contracted to provide services till 6.30pm which is when the phone lines go over to the night message. Once again I am sorry you missed the call when you went to the bathroom, but the fact we called you back from a same day call is actually evidence of very good care. Please be aware that once the surgery is closed, you can contact 111 for non emergency advice.

My son experienced respiratory problems for the first time 2 weeks ago, took him twice to NI. I have been advice by them to chase the problem with my GP. I have booked an e consultation but they don't give you time slots so I have missed the call, because I TOO HAVE TO WORK. So I been told to book another e consultation but I missed that one too. I need an appointment to see a doctor asap and reception is rude and not bother about anyway, even a child. I cannot sleep at night because I feel I have to check on him constantly, they are making my life miserable. I have to call constantly, everyday but they still refuse to give me an appointment. I have no respect for this people, they think they are the only busy, under pressure. The doctor don't even bother calling back. I am shocked and tired and most of all I don't know how to help my son.

Dear concerned mother, thank you for your review. My name is Dr Wole Olarinmoye, GP Principal. I am sorry you missed our call on 2 occasions and I fully understand you are also working. Unfortunately it is not practical to provide a specific time. We did not refuse to give you an appointment as you had 2 which you unfortunately missed. The reception team have helped you by booking you appointments. However, I do understand your frustration. May I suggest when next you call (or fill in the Econsult), that you request a time range when you will be able to receive the call. Thanks once again for your feedback
