    I often see comments on Facebook from this GP surgery angry that people don't cancel appointments... my mum has just called as she requires a sick note (not that it matters but she is 65 and never has time off sick before people feel the need to judge in some way) and she was on the phone in a que of 30 people for 2 hours. As soon as the time went to 12 they said they aren't taking calls and hung up. No one can wait 2 hours to speak to a GP. No one can get through to book or cancel appointments. The trouble is that it's the same for almost every single GP surgery in our area. Now my mum will have to try again later or call another day wasting her time and money. It's just not good enough.

    Dear Patient We now have a call back service for our patients which enables them to carry on with their day whilst retaining their place in the queuing system. This will help to alleviate the long waits to speak to a receptionist. Patients have been reluctant to use this service but I assure you that it works effectively and you will receive a call back from a receptionist when you become first in the queue.     I cant book an appointment unless I ring at 8o'clock in the morning, Met a Lady in the car park, she was exactly the same, you cant book a routine appointment unless you want to phone at 8 am, unless the appointments are gone,, ???

    Called 111 this morning given a telephone appointment for my son. Nurse practitioner called asked me to bring him down. Very easy quick and efficient. The receptionist was lovely the nurse practitioner was absolutely brilliant. Thank you

    This GP is horrendous , I have never been fobbed off to a hospital so much , I can't even get telephone appointments for my children's needs ,this GP cannot handle the amount of patients it has , you will be phoning for weeks to obtain an appointment for 2023! How on earth is this still operating

    I called just after 8am and by 8:10am I had been booked in to see the GP by a very friendly lady. I arrived for the appointment and was seen by the doctor without delay. He was professional and really listened to what I had to say. I found everyone to be extremely kind and it felt like a premium service, which I have not experienced at other surgeries before. Thank you Rushden Medical Centre!

    Rang up for an appointment. The line was busy so I pressed "1" for a call back. Was called back in 30 minutes. Spoke to a lovely, polite receptionist. Was given an appointment for 4 days time. Wasn't urgent so I was happy with that. When I went into the surgery for my appointment, I only waited 2 minutes after my time to be seen. Overall, everyone was very polite and helpful. Everything was explained to me. Was even offered a chaperone.

    This surgery is no longer fit for purpose and we need someone to step in and support their patients. I have been trying for weeks to get an appointment for my daughter who simply needs to be referred back to the hospital. If you call at 8am, as they insist you do, you can be kept on hold for up to 50 mins. This is such a nightmare when you start work at 8am. They say to try certain dates to get prebookable appointments but when you call or pop in that day they never have any. I also use the NHS app but never any appointments. They even have a call back service now but when they call back they just tell you all the appointments have gone for the day. Today I was told over 150 calls had been made to the surgery before 9am. When I suggested they needed more GP’s the receptionist agreed. I don’t even know who works there anymore. I could not tell you who my actual GP is.

    Keep trying to get appointment but never any doctors available , this is really worrying.Not good when you have to go to a&e to be seen.This used to be a great practice . Rushden medical center please think about people.

    I have read the reviews on here and I personally have had a very good experience today. I spoke to a nurse practitioner and she was absolutely brilliant! She gave me some great advice, some names of counselling on how to help with my mental health. She really listened and spoke to me for a while, she let me say everything I needed to say without interruption she spoke to me like she actually knew me and actually cared. I thanked her several times as I had been heard and she went above and beyond to try and help me. Not only listening and giving me advice, people to talk to, apps, counselling, she really was so nice I came off the the phone feeling better as someone listened to me and treated me like a person and like she cared. Best person I have spoken to. Very caring and kind! Didn’t rush me at all let me speak in my own time when I was ready. Also the receptionist I spoke to was very kind i struggle to talk on the phone about my mental health and she was so good she let me take some time and I started telling her why I was calling, she seemed very kind down the phone. Didn’t rush me and told me it was ok take your time. Generally had a good experience, was happy with who I spoke to couldn’t fault them. Thank you for listening, really helped me.

    worst medical centre ive ever been to. ive tried to book myself 5 times in for an appointment through the past 3 months. i managed to book an appointment in 2 weeks since i called over the phone. they called me during my work hours, and when i didnt answer, they didnt call again. when i tried calling back, they didnt answer. ive went in to try and book myself but a woman with black hair said there was no available spaces and told me to go home and call in the morning. today, my daughter had another intense nosebleed at home and i decided to drive her to rushden medical centre. of course i got the answer to go home or to a&e. nobody even came out to check on her or didnt recommend how to stop it.
