Not a visit but a telephone call, phoned on Wednesday 3rd August 22 ,for a continuation sick note ,phoned at 8am as they opened got almost straight through to a polite receptionist,by 9.14am the sick note was messaged too my phone,that I feel is exceptional service ,have never had anything but positive experiences with this surgery apart from occasionally getting through on the phone can be a little difficult but never excessively so

I requested my repeat pain medication 2 weeks early as I am flying abroad early hours Mon 5 Sept and I will be without Morphine patches the second week. Tried attending the practice and totally ignored. My pharmacy tried twice and sent a note. Advised to call during a time you knew you would not be open (Weds 31 August). Advised prescription was with GP this morning waiting to be signed (Fri 2 Sept) knowing you are closed pm. Very poor service and total lack of communication. I am 65 years old and would certainly not request anything I did not need. It is not acceptable to treat patients this way. I am exceptionally concerned you have no regard for my needs. I will be following this up with the practice manager on my return.

Initially I had a great experience - rang late for phone consult had doc prescribe antibiotics but advised I needed to come and have a tetanus jab. I booked for this morning 9:20am - took time off work went in and was called to the room, the nurse then said they didn’t have any tetanus in stock but she’d go and ask the chemist - she did - no they didn’t have! I said couldn’t somebody have called me to tell me this so I didn’t waste my time and yours? She didn’t apologise just said she’d ring me at 4pm when I finish work to say if they’d got or make me an appointment for tomorrow if not. No call. So I went on my way home and had the rudest staff - nobody would help just kept saying they were closed and ‘what did I want them to do about it?’ I said she told me she was here til 5:30 so can I speak to her? ‘Not their problem’ was the response! Awful service from start to finish.

The receptionist I spoke to today was very helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. She sorted my problem out very quickly and she was very polite and helpful.

Practice advertises a patient participation group PPG but doesn't allow you to actually join. I have been trying to join for over a year now

I have had a couple of face to face appointments in the last two weeks and I have to say all of the drs I saw were very kind , professional and they actually listened to me . I have managed to get appointments at short notice also . Reception staff have also been kind and helpful . All in all I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone needing to register with a GP .
