    Within a very short time of explaining symptoms on an on line consultation form I was contacted by the surgery to attend to see the GP asap. Withing 30 mins of arrival I was thoroughly medically examined and given a prescription which I collected immediately from the pharmacy. At a time when there is so much negative experience circulated I'm the press and social media about the waits and responses of GPs when getting face to face appointments I felt it important to highlight my very positive experience. Thank you to Millgate medical practice and to the NHS. They need our support.

    7.30am requested help. 10.0am seen at surgery. Dr took one look at my leg and rang hospital for urgent scan.11 15am hospital awaiting my arrival. In vascular centre. Immediate scan confirmed DVT and I was referred to urgent daycare ward. Dr waiting for me. Took history and said would take bloods to ensure nothing lurking in background but would put me on immediate blood thinners probably for at least 3 months . Left hospital at 3 30pm. Care and attention from all at Local practice and tameside hospital first class . They are taking stick at the moment but this proves underlying care still there. GP practice telephoned me this am to see how I went on and offer reassurance .to all NHS team brilliant and thank you for taking the time to ensure I received best possible care.

    I have meant to leave a review for a while regarding the practice as l have always felt l have good service, especially in light of the difficult constraints Gp practices operate in. But today l felt l had exceptional service, l put a request in at 8 , had a phonecall by 9 and an appt by 10 30 with minimal waiting time on arrival The staff were all pleasant and helpful and the Gp l saw was lovely. I know Gps are now totally overstretched, and l was also probably wasting his time but he could not have been more pleasant or reassuring. At no time during the consultation did l feel l was being rushed or that he didn't have time to listen to me. I was really anxious when l made the appointment and would like to thank all the staff for making it such a positive experience.

    Met advanced practitioner Dan. Very thorough examination given and tests carried out. Plenty of reassurance given. I was listened to and felt valued. Excellent service and would highly recommend.

    It’s hard to get an appointment but once there the service is good . You have to fill in a form and then wait for a call back . It’s nice to see the same doctor but that never happens !

    I am dyslexic due to suffering epilepsy. If you are wanting us to make appointments on the Internet you are going to need to give us much more simple instructions. I received a text asking to make an appointment, I attempted to make one on the Internet last week but there were none left. I phoned this morning to make an appointment but when I got through was told to do it again by the internet, I panicked knowing I was time limited and after bursting into tears had to get my husband to help me because the link I was sent had no option to book an appointment. I am aware the admin are busy, but us unconfident dyslexic people need simpler instructions on how to do this via Internet if the secretaries are going to turn us away like that. This isn't a complaint but I think with better simpler instructions booking an appointment could be less stressful for us people who are not good on computers
