I have now been waiting on the phone for over 1 hour trying to get through to get an appointment. Surely there can’t be that many people in front of me? How are you supposed to get an appointment? This is also my 2nd day trying for one, probably quicker to just go to A&E as that’s where we will all end up the way this practice is going!

I have phoned 147 time this morning to try and get an appointment for myself and a child fighting an infection who actually fainted while i was trying to get through, once the call connected, I sat on hold for a further 37 mins, just to be told there are no appointments. and to call the hub at 12pm! absolutely ridiculous trying to get an appointment.

impossible to get an appointment they should not work for NHS , phone busy between 8 and half past 8 and after no more appointments for today , you get old until you get an appointment with them

Dear Alina I'm sorry that you are unhappy with the staff at Maylands, they are fully trained and have ongoing training throughout the year. The phone lines open at 8am and appointments are available to book in advance. A message is put on the phone once all GP appointments have gone, informing patients that nurse and ANP appointments may still be available if you wish to hold. Kind regards Ruth. Practice Manager

I called the surgery back in November 2022, I got through the reception staff and completely broke down on the phone to them. They handled my situation with the upmost care and urgency and got me and appointment that same morning. I have been under the care of the Doctor since November, I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the care I received and the correct mental health treatment. A wonderful surgery with a great set of Drs

The receptionist lady is really useless tbh, I told her that I’m deaf and I cannot talk on the phone and I told her about the NHS app but the app said I do not have access to it.. she told me just make a phone call I literally told her that I can’t coz I’m deaf! And the doctors, no offence, they just let me go and kept saying that I need to lose weight coz of my breast enlargement, I told them that I’ve been trying to lose weight since I was 14 but I can’t due to my breast enlargement, i can’t even lose weight, not gonna lie about it. Very bad review, they all need to have deaf awareness.
