    I decided to use the eConsult facility to get advice. I found the procedure easy to follow and was able to give all the details of my problem and answer a few questions without difficulty. Within 48 hours I received a phone call from the Practice and after further discussion I was told that a doctor would prescribe some medication for me. I will definitely use eConsult again if need be - simple and efficient!

    The surgery have been very good at following up on my procedures. The wait time for appointments has been very quick. I have been able to see a Doctor when I request it.

    Attended appointment for a blood test, gave the health clinician the Pathology request form, she said "we don't need this anymore, it's all on the system" and gave it me back. When I spoke to my consultant, my blood results were all n/a. She obviously didn't send my blood for the correct tests. Now I can't get another appointment for over 2 weeks. Not Good Enough! I will go to Mch house in future...although those of us who live on St Marys Island, pay towards the upkeep of the building this practice uses.

    Generally, the service provided is good. The receptionists and telephone call centre staff are all pleasant and helpful. Having a different doctor dealing with me each time makes my diagnoses and treatments somewhat disconnected. However, a significant problem is that I have to go to different surgeries for treatment e.g. the Strood surgery is terrible for parking and poor public transport makes attending for appointments near impossible. Today I had to go to the in-Boots surgery and sat at the bus stop near the Rainham Healthy Living Centre waiting an hour for a bus which made me late for my appointment. In all a locally based service with a designated GP would be much better.

    Today I submitted an econsult around 2.30pm and a clinician phoned me less than two hours later. I cannot remember the gentleman’s name who called me but he was very pleasant and explained all medication options available and also gave me blood test results from only four days ago. He issued me a new prescription and explained what I should do if I react to the medication as I have a history or allergic reaction. He explained everything very clearly. Amazing service today. I couldn’t believe I was called so promptly and didn’t expect to hear anything until next week as it was Friday afternoon when I sent the econsult. Thank you Maritime Health for a great and positive experience.

    I went for a routine check up for something else, but while there I opened Pandora’s box on another issue and ended up getting very emotional. The nurse was respectful, listened to me and was practical in her advice and compassionate and caring. I was very grateful.

    I submitted my e-consult form at 9 am and was called back by 4 pm. The doctor listened, totally understood my concerns, gave me advice and explanations of next steps and, within minutes, links by text for booking my blood tests. Referral for ultra sound also promised. I could not have hoped for more + I did everything from the comfort of my arm chair, didn't have to risk any infections by attending surgery and hopefully saved the GP and surgery staff some time/effort. Thank you.

    I have submitted my Econsult request and I have been contacted the same day for a consultation. I had the opportunity to discuss my health concerns and I did not feel rushed. Further investigations an follow-up have been promptly organised. I am very grateful for my appointment and the care I have received today.
