    Surly receptionists who think and act like they're the Doctors, unclear processes to get an appointment, If you can get an appointment! Ask to speak to a Doctor - get fobbed off with a 'nurse practitioner' - ask for an appointment get messed around with online triage and phone calls you don't ask for. This used to be a great practice to use - the doctors from the 1980's and 90's would be appalled how far it's slipped.

    I had arranged a medication review call. The call was received at the time expected. The pharmacist was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

    The doctor was very thorough. Took my concerns seriously. She was friendly and listened, even though I struggled to explain my symptoms.

    I have just been contacted to leave a review about a phone appointment with the pharmacy team which happened yesterday. This appointment never happened. I waited for the call which was due just before 10am, and I'm still waiting for it now 24 hours later. I'm at a loss as to how they Hollies team can be so lax as to not honour the appointments, and so very ignorant as to then ask for a review of said appointment. The receptionist staff are rude, entirely lacking in empathy and, as first point of contact, set the tone of any experience at the Hollies as miserable. On one occasion when I tried to explain that my baby was on a feeding pump attached to the pram so it would be useful if my appointment could happen in a ground floor room, she said this wouldn't be possible. I asked what I should do. She replied, "We're not a crèche, you know." Once you have an appointment, I find the doctors to be sound in their delivery of patient care and medical advice. But the barriers put up to get that far are unacceptable; the restrictions of when you should call, the outrageously long queue time one you're on the phone, and the outright rudeness and, on occasion unprofessionalism of the receptionists make for a wholly disheartening experience. This is a doctors surgery. This is a place where people go when they are at their most anxious and vulnerable. For some people they will have put off approaching the doctors out of fear and it will have taken every ounce of their courage to contact the Hollies. And this is the reception they receive? A group of receptionist who are rude, unprofessional and have absolutely no regard for the emotional toll their seemingly heartless approach to patient care and wellbeing has on the poor people who finally make it through the door. The Hollies is failing, and it is very sad to witness it.

    The GP. was new to me, he listened well & discussed the options available. He did not rush the consultation & had a sense of humour.

    I had a phone review with the clinical pharmacist. He was very thorough, went through all my meds individually and changed things straight away if they weren’t correct or no longer required. He was a very good listener and very helpful with a lovely manner. I felt very happy with the review and the service I got, just like I do with all the staff at The Hollies. It’s a shame there are so many negative reviews here - I genuinely feel very well looked after here and have the best GP ever.

    Working well..under time constraints. Outcomes very comprehensive. Two examinations, three tests arranged at one GP visit Thanks to all the team at the Surgery ,The Hollies.

    I had a phone consultation with a clinical pharmacist and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Sorted lots of prescription issues out. Very personable.
