  1. Review titled Terrible - No chance of getting seen by a GP

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jacqueline Goodchild - Posted on 10 April 2024

Have been on hold for two and a half hours and no one answers got to 3 in the queue and then it rang went to hold and then rang again for 45 mins. 111 say ring your GP, Pharmacist says see your GP, no one wants to help unwell people anymore. I have now called again and I am now 6th in the queue again.... please realise the GP system in the country is degusting right now.

  2. Review titled 0% chance of appointment!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 April 2024

I rung for appointment when they opened at 8am, got through after 15 minutes ( which was great), I told them what was wrong, I had a lump come up on my face, which had grown within 7 days, was worried as my father had cancer removed from his face last year and looked like this lump, been 6 days now and still no call back from GP, will have to go to A&E and have checked, looking for new doctors and not virtual doctor that you never see. thanks for nothing.

  3. Review titled Awful

If I could give 0 I would..the staff at the Orchard Parctice are rude and they decide nothing is an emergency so always a 2-3 week wait for an appointment..I have been a Dartford resident all my life but somehow you're more likely to get an appointment if you live in Bexley village which is definitely not in the catchment area..I was caller 27 an hour and 40mins later they called back..I had already phoned another doctors I was caller number 4..what a difference..sack all the phone staff and get ones that answer the phone not just sit around drinking tea and chatting. They do not want to deal with anything complaint related and make the excuse that they are not the only doctors in that building..the whole thing is a joke. Practice Manager no different she is never available and just as rude as the reception staff.

  4. Review titled Very poor reception service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Maria June Jepp - Posted on 20 February 2024

I contacted the surgery today to book appointments with the nurse for a dressing change and removal of stitches post surgery. I was number 7 in the queue and after 49 minutes am only number 5. Myself and other family members have repeatedly had such difficulties contacting the surgery by phone, often getting to number 1 in the queue only to have the line dropped. I have absolutely no complaints about the service offered by any of the GP's but something surely must be done about the difficulties in trying to get a response from the reception and usually the E-Consult service is closed around 9am which is also very unhelpful.

i have been using this local surgery for 3 years now after coming from another the recent experiences have just reminded me that it’s levels over the 3 years have got a lot worse mainly in trying to see a GP recently i was trying to get an appointment but excepted a phone call instead i got that call from a receptionist but couldn’t take it at that moment so i rang back but i couldn’t get through as i was 8th in the queue for ages i tried 4 more times over the next hour snd i was still 8th !!! eventually i went in person ( 10 min walk ) and found a waiting room with just a couple people and the reception with 1 other person being dealt with, whilst i waited i rang the number out of curiosity and hey presto guess what i was 8th in the queue!!!! when i finally got to speak to the receptionist i was told all appointment were now filled ! i said i tried to get through but couldn’t and tackled her about the “queue system” she replied she was on her own and couldn’t deal with the phone as well as the patients ! when i asked to see the practice manager i got told to email as they didn’t do face to face !! generally misleading and poor i’m still untreated and have sent 3 emails in to which none have been answered!!! shocking practice

  6. Review titled Bad website, Appointment system is unclear & dysfunctional

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 February 2024

The web sight doesn't tell you how to get an appointment. Instead it gives you linkx to an online booking system which it's not running most of the time and says that you should phone 111. That is except between 8am and 8.30am (Mon-Fri) when an e-system allows you to book an appointment. The other 23.5 hours of the day the information is absent and no contact is possible. If you phone they say to use the online booking at 8am. So basically it's impossible to get an appointment. Today (22/2/2024) the online bookings were fully taken by 8.24am and the system shut down again. (Interesting too that the review form doesn't allow you to talk about the web sight hence the mis-spellings!)

  7. Review titled Very poor

I enquired at the reception about travel vaccinations, the receptionist asked when I would be travelling and I told her in a months time, she just laughed and said your be lucky and you need 3 weeks to get it in your system, when I said it’s a month away she said the drs have much better things to do than that and I would need to go private. I do understand that the drs deal with a lot worse things and life threatning issues, but she almost made me feel it was unreasonable to ask and was more of a pleasure thing. So if someone walks in and asks for contraception is that not a similar thing!! Travel injections are important to not get unwell and bring infections back into the country. I’ve paid my national insurance for years have been lucky enough to of had good health, yet cannot get an appointment for this although it is available on the nhs. No wonder people don’t bother with vaccinations, cos you can’t get through the rude receptionist’s

  8. Review titled In humane treatment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Venkat - Posted on 18 October 2023

Today is Tuesday and I was offered following choices - 1. If they have to give a triage appointment that will be for next Monday 2. I could go on econsult web site at 8 am tomorrow and enter details and the doctor will decide if they will see me or not or what to do next 3. I could go to Sidcup 24 hours gp, where they will see me today. My conclusion on Redwood Practice - 1. They claim they are inefficient by them saying a surgery some distance away can see me as walk in. I recognise the orther surgery may be 24 hours operation, but this practice is open most of the hours. How on earth they cannot accomodate someone for a few minutes triage? 2. If there is an opportunity for me to see a doctor if I go on at 8 am why not that oppotunity given to me when I called at 9:30 am? Makes you wonder how their operations. 3. They are a disgrace to our nhs. If they cannot see many patience better them transfering a large chunk of their customers to another surgery. I wonder if they paid for enrollment not the number of patients they see on a daily basis. If they are paid based on enrollment, this needs to change. Worldclass nhs is tainted by these surgeries. Update - Today is Wednesday - I went on to econsult sharp at 8 am as I was directed and entered all the details. I got a text at 10:55 am with a link to book appointment. At this point I am watching phone, so I immediately clicked on the link and the link showed 3 appointments. 1 for Today Wednesday 1 for Tomorrow Thursday 1 for Friday I clicked on the Wednesday and it will not allow me to take that. Then I tried Thursday it will not allow me to take that. It only allowed me to take Friday This booking system treats you inhumanely. I called the surgery and I was once again directed to Sidcup as they will see me immediately. It is shameful this surgery is even allowed to operate. They should not be allowed to take new patients if they cannot see people in reasonable time. If they are constantly directing people to go to a different surgery then why are they allowed to take in new patients.

  9. Review titled Long wait times on Reception / appointment phone lines

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 September 2023

I have been waiting on the telephone hold que to reception for 2.5hrs so far..... this is very disappointing as only position 11 when I joined. I haven been trying to get access to reception for an appointment for a while now and its disappointing. The online tools via nhs app are also always turned off, its very frustrating.

  10. Review titled Poor Receptionists

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Cedric Mitchell - Posted on 08 June 2023

Unfortunately I have had to visit the practice for treatment. Reception is poor in the extreme (whilst nurses and doctors are most helpful). Reception appear to value making a cup of tea more important than welcoming the patient. I have had wrong appointments made, left to wait whilst they make tea or chat, without any recognition of my presence. I’ve been with the practice for more than 40 yrs, unfortunately reception has become worse, they appear miss managed or unmanaged doing what is “comfortable” to their well being rather than the patient and service. Happy to discuss this in detail.
