    Just when you thought this Practice couldn't get any worse - it does. After 46 years of being in Saffron Walden I am seriously considering moving doctors because of the sheer ineptitude, rudeness, inefficiency non- compassion of the staff there. Why is it like this ?- apart from a failing health service the doctors and staff have absolutely no knowledge of their patients any more. You are merely a number in a phone queue. My doctors and consultants should be making my health decisions for me, who they are - I have no idea

    visited this practice for the very first time this morning absolutely fab !the girls (ladys) were so welcoming and friendly making you feel completely at ease , they all had a great sense of humour , well thwy must of had to put up with me as i dont visit often , the Docs are fab too thank you so much

    Week after week there is always an excuse for poor service - Staff shortages, new systems, etc but this has been ongoing for over a year and for the past 4 months I’m having to chase repeat prescriptions that gave seemingly not been received - the amount of wasted time it takes to rectify this by several calls to the pharmacist and the practice to get this resolved is ludicrous and uneccessarily stressful - how much longer can they continue to operate in such a way which is extremely detrimental to the health of their patients like myself - 2/10

    I've been a patient at Crocus (previously Borough Lane) for years and have witnessed the problems the practice has had. At times, it has been appalling. However, after today's appointment, I am optimistic and just hope the practice can hang on to its staff because some of them are brilliant. I had a diabetic review earlier this week, which was the most thorough review I've ever had. The nurse didn't just look at my figures but listened to what I was saying and followed up. As a result I had an appointment with a GP today, who listened to me and was lovely. I'd like to give both of them more than five stars. If only the practice could sort out its appointment system, it would be great.

    Your Review: New system is shambolic have been trying to make an appointment for 3 weeks neither the online system nor phone works(1 and 2 hour waits then cut off) Even went into the surgery( told to Use online sustem

    I have used the new booking system a few times and it works brilliantly. I have now mastered the repeat prescription service and can't find a fault. All the staff are really professional and friendly.

    Ever since moving to an online appt service, I’ve not had any issues getting an appt. I don’t have to wait for a phone to be answered and the response time has always been within 48 hours. It’s been such a positive move for me as a patient- thank you.

    I've been with this practice for over 20 years, the last 12 months the service has become dreadful, they never never never answer the phone , the pharmacy cannot complete the a simple request ans the staff have an over inflated attitude... I tried contacting their practice manager via email twice and was completely ignored... I moved to another competent surgery and they asked Crocus for my repeat prescription... they even manged to get that wrong !!!!

    Each time I try to use the new online system to make an appointment, communicate with the surgery or order a repeat prescription, it is not working. I've been trying for weeks. On one recent occasion, after holding in a queue for 1 hour 20 minutes, the reception staff tell me 'there is a glitch in the system'. When will it be up and running please? It appears the new system hasn't improved the situation at all. I suspect that those who have managed to use the new system with outstanding success must be friends of staff, staff or Bots. It just cannot be possible for someone to put reviews stating they have had no problems accessing the system, when I know first hand that the service is not available.

    Doctors, nurses, paramedics and HCAs all wonderful, however the dispenser is incredibly rude and unhelpful. It is such a shame that the online system has destroyed what was once a brilliant practice. When it was introduced parients struggled to get the help they need. Now it has been stoped entirely and getting through to the practice by phone is ridiculously dirfficult. Complaints go unanswered when using the dedicated email address.
