I been have under the care of Buxton Medical Practice for more than thirty years & throughout this period I have received excellent medical care. There have been changes in Doctors & staff but the Practice have always provided an efficient and caring medical service.

I had a lot of intense pain in my testes and was obviously very worried. I phoned the surgery about 9am and the receptionist gave me an appointment with a nurse at 11.15am. About 20 mins later another receptionist rang back and changed my appointment to an appointment with a doctor at 11.30am. The doctor was great and reassured me that it wasn't cancer. Two days later after tests and a scan I was put on a course of antibiotics which cleared my problem. The speed of the service was brilliant from the receptionists and the doctor and the NHS. Thank you to everyone at the practice.

I would like to thank the practice for being so great at picking up on my daughter’s symptoms over the phone, arranging for an appointment that afternoon, swift initial diagnosis, and then a sympathetic and responsive second appointment when her symptoms were not improving. It is great to know that such a service is available to us.

Doctor has not reviewed notes which have been with him for 7 days, apparently they are very busy. Guess patient care is not part of their remit these days. Fobbed off with practice nurse, no face to face with doctors seem to be allowed. I wonder what a doctors function at this surgery is. Still awaking action after notes have been reviewed

Compassionate and caring and listens, Great interaction, the GP comes out, meet and greets you instead of just pressing the buzzer it’s a great social contact for the Patient and GP is great form of connection we all need it. Social connection is a pillar of medicine it's self, fantastic! I cannot complain

After terrible service at another local practice i moved here. It has been easy to do via web site and all my contact and needs have been met to date with excellent service and has made a bid difference to my care and health. Totally recommended 5*****

Always been very impressed with this practice and the lovely staff - rang at 10am for advice and an hour later was being seen, all my concerns were listened to and a solution that worked was found super quickly. Incredibly impressed.

I have needed to use the services provided by the practice too much of late. However the service I have been afforded has been brilliant from all departments and now the Pharmacy changing hands has completed the five star excellence of this outstanding practice.

I was happy with outcome of my consultation. I used to ask for an appointment with a particular Dr. However she has retired. I had to ask who my appointment was with as i was only asked to choose a time slot and was not told by the receptionist who my Dr would be... I may have wanted a female? . This might be common practice now but I do prefer to always (wherever possible) see the same dr as they will know my medical history and know me.
