    This surgery has gone down the hill since taken by the new “contractors”. I spent two hours on the phone to get through a receptionist. I then walked in wet weather with my one year old to make an appointment. I was told to come back later in the afternoon which is fine. I went back home only to receive a text 15 minutes later than appointment has been cancelled and contact the reception again. I got my baby in the pram again and walked up the town only to be told by the surgery manager to go see urgent care!!! Such pathetic level of service, absence of basic empathy at an nhs surgery is truly shocking. The problem isn’t the GP but the people who are running this abhorrent surgery. Just close it permanently than putting patients through stress every day!!

    My wife attempted to get an appointment this morning following refferal from 111. She called at 8am (when they advise you to call), this has been a problem for me in the past when I've needed an appointment and not been able to call at this very specific time which is seemingly the only option if you need any type of appointment. She was on hold for well over an hour and had to cancel the call to continue working. The automated message when you call, specifically acknowledges the issue they face with their phone system and preempts your dissapointment in not being able to contact them by asking you to be kind to staff if you do get to speak to them. I've had this experience multiple times on any occasion I've attempted to contact them, both at 8am and at other times. With the volume of other similar reports on this page, I cannot understand how direct interventional action hasn't yet been taken by any relevant authority to improve the service which at best is difficult to access and at worst is verging on pointless in its existence.

    Worst service I’ve ever received from a GP practice. You have to stay on the phone for hours to even get to the reception! Waking up at 8am with a newborn and for them to not even pick up the phone is absolutely pathetic. Was told to book a consultation through patches only to go online and the options were not even available. Always have a bad experience booking appointments and can’t wait to find a new GP practice!

    I do not recommend Brooklands Surgery however, the pharmacist who does medication reviews is excellent. He’s extremely thorough, attentive and courteous. He recognises that some questions are sensitive, calmly offers advice and suggestions and makes sure I’m aware of possible side effects with medicines.

    They don't answer the phone, even when calling outside of the busy morning hours!! I'm sure they have staff call in before closing so you aren't able to get through. Impossible to get test results for my son without driving there.

    I cannot wait to be able to register with another Health Centre. Rude and unhelpful receptionists. You can spend hours on the phone trying to get an appointment to then get told to go online. The appointment was for a 6 months old baby.

    I have tried for 2 weeks to make an appointment with Brooklands. I called daily at 8am, but to no effect. I registered on their online portal and tried to book an appointment via that. You just get no response from the practice at all. 6 months ago when I was lucky enough to get through I was told that they can’t schedule me for tests due to the NHS having put a hold on all tests. I have now been forced to change practice to another within the catchment area as I can no longer wait and I have to see a doctor. The situation is also not at that stage where I need to go to a walk in centre, but what if it was. The NHS needs to sort this out and get this practice working.

  8. Review titled Blood test not reviewed since 4 days for a urgent condition

    My spouse has been getting a fever for the last three weeks and the doctor suggested an urgent blood test. It took 1 week to get the blood test done and the blood reports have been there with the GP for more than 4 days and they haven't reviewed it. I almost visit the GP every day and they are neither reviewing the Blood Report nor, giving us a copy. Every time I visit for the report they say my printer is not working. Its Pathetic

    The phone call from the pharmacist was very close to the appointment time. He was courteous, polite and very knowledgeable, asking me all the right questions about my lifestyle and giving me repeated opportunities to raise questions of my own. He even arranged a blood test appointment close to the time/date I requested. As the practice has only recently changed hands, I cannot comment on other aspects of the practice.

    My partner was on the phone for almost 2 hrs and she rung at 8 o'clock in the morning to get an appointment for my 3 year little girl. They can't be that busy at that time in the morning. Very poor service and not very helpful I will not recommend anyone to this surgery if you don't want to waste your time waiting on the phone.
