For some treatments you may be referred to a specialist dentist.

You will be able to have all check-ups and treatments on the NHS that your dentist feels are necessary to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy.

If your dentist says that you need a particular type of treatment, you should not be asked to pay for it privately.
