  2. Review titled Very disappointed in how dentist dealt with a worried child

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My son has just had a very bad experience at this dentist which is very out of the ordinary. We usually see a female dentist. The male dentist was very impatient with my son when he got upset and questioned what he was doing. He did nothing to make the situation better and has actually made my son feel worst plus his assistant was not friendly at all and could have offered reassurance but didnt she didn’t even say hello to him. They need training in how to deal with worried children. My son has seen no one for almost a year due to COVID and this was a big deal. I’m sure this is the case for many children at the moment. Simple reassurance and talking through what he was doing would have helped. “Don’t bite me” is also a really bad thing to say to a child who has instruments in his mouth and is obviously crying and upset. I called and spoke to the dentist shortly after and he apologised but I want this on record as no child should have to feel like that.
