  1. Review titled Thank you !!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jane - Posted on 28 July 2022

I was on the waiting list for therapy for a long time , which I totally understand, but all I can say was, it was worth the wait. I can honestly say that, what I have worked through with my therapist in the 8 sessions has been the most helpful counselling that I have had. I was skeptical at first, as I have had lots of therapy in the past, but I felt very comfortable with my her, and feel that I had been matched with the right person, which in turn enabled me to open up about my issues. I am amazed the way she explained and spoke through the things that I brought up, which has helped me look at the issues that I have been struggling with, in a different way. I am still a work in progress, but I am feeling a lot clearer in my head. I now have the tools and knowledge that I can use to help me to continue to progress, which I am very hopeful that I will do. Uplift is one of the great services from the NHS, which I hope, will continue, as it is a desperately needed service, which I am very grateful for.

  2. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emma - Posted on 18 August 2022

I was in need of grief support and the staff were lovely at every step, with the waiting lists for treatment I was provided self help websites and support places. Then when I started treatment Nil Plant was an amazing support, not only in understanding my grief but the trauma I experienced beforehand and how it’s shaped me as a person. Whilst I’m still struggling with grief, getting the help I did has eased the weight I was carrying.

  3. Review titled Invaluable service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Colleen Hopkins - Posted on 03 August 2022

Although I had to wait some time for appointment, the service received has, without a doubt, helped me immensely and I would go so far as to say potentially saved my life. Mental health is so debilitating, but I have learned strategies and had reassurances that will help me in the future. My counsellor was sympathetic, understanding, took time to get to know me and reassured me every step of the way. I can't praise Sutton Uplift enough.

  4. Review titled Excellent counselling services

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 June 2022

Following a GP referral and an initial triage, I undertook a series of counselling & therapy sessions over a period of several months through the Sutton Uplift service. I found this an extremely helpful and useful course of treatment which has allowed me to put many things into some perspective and to identify further treatment and therapy that may be beneficial to me. The therapist I worked with was excellent, very empathetic towards me, patient and driving the sessions at a pace that worked very well for me. Some of the work was very challenging for me but I always felt very safe and supported, even during the most difficult elements of the conversation. The administration of the service was straightforward and worked well. Emails regarding appointments and weekly surveys were consistent and the online meeting software was easy to navigate and worked very well throughout all of my sessions. My initial triage took place very quickly after my GP referral however it then took some time for a therapist to become available to me. If there was anything I would change about the service it would be to add further therapist capacity so as to see more patient and sooner, and to allow additional therapy sessions to be covered under NHS cover.

  5. Review titled Great service, currently undergoing transformation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Louie R. - Posted on 02 June 2022

Convenient location close to Wallington BR Station, several bus routes & parking. Friendly, approachable & compassionate staff, clean & inviting environment (though could do with a refresh). A wide range of psychological & wellbeing services available face-to-face or virtual (1:1 and groups). Increasing demand for Mental Health Services so waiting list are long, however, there are some Guided Self Help services while you wait.
