On March 12th 2024 after cutting off the tip of my finger. I could not stop the bleeding. Subsequently I returned several times to have the wound re-dressed. Despite being quite busy, I was seen by the triage nurse in about 10 minutes on my first visit. On other occasions when I had appointments I was seen promptly. This unit is very well run. All the staff I encountered from reception to medical, were polite, friendly reassuring, good humoured and kind. The treatment I received was very professionally administered and the nurses were gentle and caring when treating my wound. All my questions and concerns were dealt with patiently. I am very grateful for the care and attention that I received. The wound is now on its way to full recovery thanks in no small measure to the way in which it was treated. It was extremely helpful to know that the unit would help me if the nursing staff at my GP surgery were unable to take appointments. The staff at the Deal Hospital do a great job and are a very important part of the community care needed in this town. I would like to express my grateful thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped me. You make a great team and are doing a wonderful job. Thank you again.

Was waiting over an hour due to an emergency but all staff were polite and apologetic. My son had split his lip at soft play and the nurse gave him a a teddy bear which he's still got and gone to bed with. A horrible accident dealt with in a professional but most importantly approachable manners.

Everybody that I came into contact with during my visit were friendly, helpful and efficient. I was seen by the triage nurse within 10 minutes of my arrival and roughly 15 minutes later I was called through to see the nurse. Although it was an issue that couldn't be addressed by them I was given advice on my next steps . Thank you to everyone from the lady on reception to the medical team.

I have, unfortunately had to use this Urgent Care centre twice in as many months. Such a great service. Always helpful and friendly and waiting times are usually minimal

Came into MIU after a knee issue. The waiting room was full so assumed there'd be a long wait but I saw the triage nurse within 20 mins followed by a consultation with another nurse about 20 mins after that. I was the referred for an x-ray the following morning which was very smoothly done and the results shared almost instantly. I was then referred for physio within less than a week. All in all an absolutely fantastic service which worked well across departments.

I have just returned home from attending Deal Victoria Hospital's Urgent Care Centre and felt compelled to report what a wonderful experience it was (despite my injury). From the cheery reception desk staff to the nurse assessor to the nurse practitioner, I was treated with the utmost respect, efficiency and kindness along with a professional examination that came as reassuring and extremely helpful. We are certainly blessed in Deal to have such a wonderful and caring 'cottage hospital'. Many thanks to all and long may you continue to thrive.

Never, ever, in my experience of using NHS hospitals have I received the care that I did here. A building full of kind, friendly and caring staff that all genuinely care about ensuring you are looked after. The staff went above and beyond to help me and provided me with care I needed. Could not praise the staff here more highly! I’d like to thank the staff especially for giving my partner amazing advice regarding paramedic science and nursing in general - it’s those little moments and conversations that make such a difference!

I arrived at the UTC after being unable to get a GP appointment. I had a suspected UTI during my first trimester of pregnancy so naturally was very worried. The staff were amazing and put me at ease, I was seen straight away by a nurse who then transferred me to a doctor. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A credit to the NHS & Deal.

Last week I came down from Scotland to Ramsgate to spend a holiday with my son who stays there and became unwell and did not know where to turn for help. I was advised by Boots Chemist that the Victoria hospital in Deal run a drop in clinic from 8 am to 8 pm. My son took me to the Victoria Hospital in Deal and I was greatly impressed with the care and attention I received from all members of staff. The doctors, triage nurses and reception staff were so kind and the lovely doctors supplied me with antibiotics and steroid pills for my condition. All the staff are a credit to the NHS with the fine work they do
