I got a appointment at the urgent care via 111 for my 5 year old daughter. All staff we came into contact with were amazing. They were all cheerful and helpful. We were seen and sorted within 20 mins. Couldn't recommended this facility enough. Thank you very much.

  2. Review titled Fantastic apart from one person

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My mother was admitted after a fall with a broken humerus and, as she had been in a ward at Skegness in the past, she was slightly looking forward to it as her last experience was most positive. She is in her late 80s, disabled in full movement after a stroke and a therapy nurse wanted to send her home on Christmas Eve with the broken humerus less than two weeks old and when she could not stand due to balance and the pain in her shoulder and was expecting her to sit in bed or a chair and not mover until four times a day when a helper would go in to help her. Telephone communications from the hospital was ok but I managed to get the ward email address and my emails remained unanswered as, I guess, they did not want to create proof in answering my concerns as to their safeguarding commitments. Clearly Lincolnshire is at the bottom of the healthcare post code lottery and if you are reading this an have a relative who will potentially need home carers, I strongly advise you to read up on your rights very quickly. My mother is now in a care home receiving very good care whilst she recovers.

  4. Review titled Never have we felt so disrespected or helpless

    by Compasionandcare1062 - Posted on 17 November 2023

This is the worst hospital that we have ever been to - we've found the nurses on Gloucester ward so rude, no bedside manner, with no compassion or dignity towards the patient. Breakfast missed, didn’t have time to serve afternoon tea, wouldn’t answer the bell to let us in for visits, patients were just left for hrs, medication not given at the correct times, no plan was ever followed through, would not talk to family members unless we asked what was going on. Never have we felt so disrespected or helpless in trying to get help for our family member - please remember that this patient is someone’s mother or grandmother. I hope that your family member would be treated in this way.

Went in to a small room for an assessment, consultant introduced himself then turned his head and started coughing, no attempt to cover his mouth just 2 feet from me. As covid is ever present and I am valuable, though he was very u professional

  8. Review titled Overall positive

Was told off for not going to Boston hospital despite being advised by 999 dispatcher. Hospital itself is clean tidy & functioning. Family barely acknowledged and views / insight weren't welcomed. Fast triage and tests. Care was effective but wouldn't say compassionate.

  9. Review titled Staff & patients not wearing masks

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 May 2023

Skegness hospital was a great little hospital. Standards have dropped considerably. Covid is a real risk for many people, including myself. I do not feel safe attending this hospital if masks are not being worn. I am so worried about what I will do in a real emergency. Come on Skegness you are better than this, don't follow guidance from suits, follow the science. Covid is airborne, don't risk the lives of those that need help.

I have needed to visit on 2 consecutive days and cannot praise this urgent care center enough. The system is organized and efficient, all staff are kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable. This is how the NHS used to be and should be considered the perfect model for future centers.
