  1. Review titled Over the moon with my treatment.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sophie Kelly - Posted on 08 December 2023

Although I was waiting a while for my treatment due to a referral from my own dentist (to have a broken and abscessed tooth taken out) it was absolutely worth the wait. The dentist and his team immediately put me at ease and had me laughing! He explained everything fully to me and really made me relax even though I was so nervous. Explained proper aftercare to me and overall I had a great experience. Thank you George Eliot!

  3. Review titled Excellent maternity service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Omiko - Posted on 23 September 2023

I had my baby on the 18th September 2023, let’s say choosing George Eliot hospital is the easiest decision ever! A little background… I went into Coventry hospital for induction on Tuesday morning. As at Sunday morning I was still waiting for my water to be artificially ruptured after the two induction methods didn’t have me progress past 3cm. By Saturday morning my contractions were getting stronger and unbearable. But there was nothing they can do (as I have been told every time I asked for help) as there was still no space in labour ward to break my waters. It had gotten so bad I was struggling to walk properly by Sunday. I still wasn’t receiving any support or update without asking. Sunday afternoon, we were asked if we want to be transferred to George Eliot if they have space, we gladly accepted it! Best decision ever!! Right from arriving at the hospital through to delivering my beautiful daughter, the George Eliot staff were all I imagined I wanted at such a vulnerable point in my life. So supportive, walked me through every process and ensured both my husband and I were relaxed, informed and carried along all the way! The atmosphere was just perfect for our little princess’s arrival! She was born less than 12hrs after we got there! I can’t thank the midwives enough! My family and I are forever grateful and can’t stop singing the praises of George Eliot hospital maternity staff!

  4. Review titled A hospital to be avoided

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ivor - Posted on 15 October 2023

Despite the brilliant staff, I was wrongly diagnosed and treated according. I was unable to understand the main consultant and I was left in a isolation room for weeks despite my reasonable requests and responses. Please try to avoid this hospital unless you have no alternative. Take care. Ivor Timson

We are sorry that you experienced difficulty in locating the correct entrance for our Emergency Department, especially at what must have been an anxious time. We have passed your comments to our Estates department so they can review and improve the signage. Chief Nursing Officer, GEH

  6. Review titled Waiting for scan results

by ghostbuster - Posted on 24 August 2023

I have been passing blood in my urine for a couple of months now. There was an infection but that cleared up. The GP referred me for a scan to look at my kidneys, which I had two weeks ago. On checking for the results I was told by the receptionist that the results could take up to twelve weeks to be received. Surely this can't be the norm!? The GP can't do anything until the results come through.

  7. Review titled Excellent care

by Alsy - Posted on 06 May 2023

From the minute I arrived, for my colon resection, to the minute I left, I could not have received better care. All members of staff, from the surgeons to the tea lady, were amazing. So friendly and helpful. Mr Aslam and his team are second to none. I spent 4 days on Mary Seacole ward and the staff there were incredible. I can't speak highly enough of my experience.

  8. Review titled Unacceptable staff attitude

    by apustf77 - Posted on 15 March 2023

Today I had my pre op assessment. As soon as I arrived I met a lovely nurse who took my blood pressure etc. I then waited for a while to see the Staff Nurse who did not greet me nor were they friendly in any manner. Upon taking me into a side room they spoke to me in what I found a very blunt, almost aggressive manner throughout the entire time. I found them patronising and it was an awful experience for a nervous patient. They were incredibly unprofessional, asking me about responses on a medical form I had sent in months ago and telling me I have no medical knowledge (of my own health...) GEH please feed this back to the pre op dept. Please also read your medical questionnaire responses when sent back months ago so that if you're unhappy with any responses then these can be dealt with prior to a pre op assessment. The issues the staff nurse had with my medical.form could have been resolved whilst waiting for today's appointment. Instead I now have to wait to speak to my GP to then be referred back for surgery. This is unacceptable as I have been waiting 4 years for this surgery.

  9. Review titled Cardiac rehabilitation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Karen rooke - Posted on 27 June 2023

In October 2022 i had a heart attack while on holiday. Was treated in Norwich hospital and was referred back home for follow up and rehab. The physio did a thorough assessment and i was given a date to start the 16 session cardiac rehab program. I’m registered as blind and i needed additional support in the way of tactile marking being placed on the gym equipment i asked the head physio about this and he arranged a very nice lady from the admin staff to soft it out for me. This was done and thank you very much for sorting this out for me. It was a 16 session exercise program nothing else. But it got you knowing that you could exercise and there was no problem in you doing this after having a heart attack like i did. Over all I’m very satisfied with the treatment i got

  10. Review titled Pain management

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 February 2024

Don’t bother. I’ve been waiting for a call back for nearly a year even though I’m supposed to be actively under the programme. They palm you off with an online course that basically says the pain is in your head even though I have physical disabilities. Then they don’t contact you again. No support whatsoever. Complete waste of time, they haven’t offered anything other than acupuncture. Acupuncture isn’t going to fix slipped discs and osteoarthritis aswel as other physical illnesses. Don’t waste your time or energy as they won’t help you
