  2. Review titled Waste of time

Rated 1 star out of 5

My daughter had a fall at school with cuts along her nose, face and she was limping. I went to the pharmacy and they suggested Harold Wood Polyclinic, so that's where I took her. Firstly, there was one person on reception dealing with an ever increasing queue of people waiting to be registered so the wait time there was already longer than it should be. Secondly, the assessment nurse was good and were seen very fast Lastly, waiting to be seen by a nurse was approaching 5 hours before we gave up. When I asked reception how long it will take, they said there is one nurse that is seeing 13 patients today. Why is there only one nurse dealing with a whole day's worth of patients on a week day? Why couldn't the doctors take a look at her? In the end, we had to leave because my daughter was getting hungry, upset, the cuts on her face were weeping and bleeding, and her knee was aching increasingly. My honest opinion is, I don't understand why it's called an 'urgent' care centre. There is nothing urgent about this place. In the end we went to Queens A&E and were in and out within 2 hours. Just close down Harold Wood Polyclinic. There is no 'care-giving' taking place here.

  4. Review titled No doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

I visited with my unwell baby. I saw a nurse who took his observations and was told to wait outside. An hour later one of the reception staff members goes to speak to patients on the other side of the waiting area who become annoyed. No one speaks to my side of the room so eventually I go to ask what’s happening, only to be told they don’t have any doctors and don’t know when they will. I ask how that’s possible and they tell me that the doctor was meant to come at 6 but hasn’t. I ask ‘at 6? But it’s 6:45; why weren’t we told sooner? My son is asleep, he’s exhausted, now you want me to drive 40 minutes away to wait somewhere else? No I’m going home.’ I the no have to relay the message to another mum with a baby who wasn’t told. Absolute disgrace. I understand that things happen but the least you can do is tell people immediately rather than wait 45 minutes before doing so.

  6. Review titled Amazing practitioners

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Francesca Cipa - Posted on 14 December 2023

I’m so thankful for the three doctors / practitioners we met today after my 2.5 year old daughter was in pain with a pulled elbow after a day at nursery. We were seen in such a quick time, and each individual was incredible with my daughter, making her laugh, playing games with her and even blowing a glove up as a balloon with some string. They found the problem, manoeuvred her arm and slot her elbow back into the position it should be in. I’ve never had such a great experience with the NHS team as we had today, what was a worrying time turned into a very pleasing outcome. Thank you so so much!

  7. Review titled Walk-in xray

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Went for a GP referral walk-in xray and misunderstood when the lunch break finished, so turned up at 1.30 but was seen by 2.10 and out by 2.20. Amazing service

Do you have a walk in service for X-Ray? I just live nearby and do not want to travel to Queens no more.

  10. Review titled Extremely a great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Colin Back - Posted on 05 December 2023

Even though I had waited for 23 minutes to register at the reception, and even had a queue jumper, (of which I did not mind, as she looked like she was in pain, and I was brought up with women and children come first), I had only sat down for about 3 minutes and then I was called in for my x-ray , and they were so polite and treated you as a human being and not just as a number, and had checked and answered all my questions, I fully recommend this service, even though it has had some very bad reviews, but let's face it every thing has its up and downs, its just the way of life, sorry for the rant, but that is what I have experienced, so well donetotheteam (you all should get a pay rise)
