    When you try to make an appointment on line and it doesn't go through so you ring up to speake to a member off staff and you are spoken to like you are wasting their time ..... there have been times where I've tried to ring up and noone answers the phones and I've witnessed it with my own eyes they like to ignore the calls the staff on the front desk need some training skills ..... but other then that the doctors are amazing and good at helping with medical needs I've been with them my hole life and I really don't want to have to find a new doctors because of the reception staff

    Been registered with Benchill for nearly a year now, and couldn't fault them! The staff are wonderful, and I have a lot of trust in them. Have had no issues getting an appointment, and neither has my partner. Any referrals I needed have been done quickly with no issues. The online form makes it so much easier to get in touch with them, & the doctors, nurses, AHPs & reception staff are all so friendly. Have lived in various places in the North West over the years, Benchill is by far one of the best practices I've been with.

    I contacted the surgery as I am feeling extremely unwell. I have already seen the doctor on Tuesday and received antibiotics and an inhaler. I have not seen any real improvement but wanted to wait until the antibiotics had finished. I started to feel worse yesterday and when I woke up at 1.30pm today had really bad shivers and my whole body was really cold. I called the surgery to ask for advise and was told that there were no appointments left and to contact on Monday for triage. I do understand that the Health Service is under real pressure but a little bit of compassion in the delivery of messages and helpful suggestion would have made such a difference to someone who is frightened and poorly. Just an apology I am so sorry we cannot fit you in but I suggest you call 111 (which the lady did suggest eventually) would have been a much more helpful approach. I felt totally dismissed and inconsequential. I am now waiting for a call from 111 which is nearly 3 hours waiting time. My son and daughter in law have now said they are taking me to the emergency department . When people are ill we just want reassurance and to be treated with empathy.

Unfortunately it is difficult for us to support you if we do not know who you are? We do have the facility to listen to calls and we would value being able to do this with the staff member, so that we may learn from any shortcomings the staff member may have.     The receptionist at the groundfloor desk was very helpful when I asked where to go. The receptionist on the second floor was very helpful and polite. My doctor/surgeon and her assistant was extremely nice and made me feel calm and content with my in day surgery to remove a lump. They would make conversation with me and make sure I was okay whilst having the lump removed. I was also asked if I would like a drink and biscuit. Fingers crossed I don't need to go back to benchill medical practice for anything but if I do need something done I will.glad ask to be refered their by my GP doctor.
