    How many times have we tried to book an appointment via the online portal, only to find that it is either unavailable or, as just now, having spent 20 minutes filling in the required details, the system then tells me it's closing down until tomorrow? Technology should be a servant and not a master. Unwell people need human contact and not a "one-size fits all" inhuman approach! Waiting times on the phone are a nightmare, regardless of the time of day or the nature of the call. Having one person on reception trying to deal with calls and face to face enquiries simply doesn't work!

    When a person has checked in for an appointment it is surely up to the doctor/nurse to come out into the waiting room and call the patient. You should not wait 45 minutes before going back to reception to be told you had been called over a screen and did not respond. Who is aware that is the system for one person when other doctors/medical staff are coming out and calling people's names without reception explaining this.
