  1. Review titled Lack of appointments

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 February 2024

Went online at 7am this morning no appointments then rang at 8am on hold 36 minutes to be told no appointments for my asthmatic child who has a very nasty cough. Told take her walk in or ring 111 don't drive to hard to get to walking especially with a sick child when I won't give up after telling no prep booked appointments till next Tuesday then book me in for 9am tomorrow morning it's amazing how that appointment wasn't there 3 minutes earlier. All I wanted was a phone call to see what was best to do with her. But last week they called me to come in for a face to face that I didn't ask for simple yo give me the phone number to the physio to self refer what a waste of an appointment they could have just gave me the number over the phone.

  2. Review titled Good practice

When an appointment is available the face to face experience is always good and the GPS are thorough and genuinely strive to give the appropriate level of care and out comes within the parameters of issues beyond their control eg hospital wait times. I personally have had to wait 8 months for a minor procedure required to confirm a diagnosis. Despite very welcomed pleas from the GP to my consultant to see me urgently this did not bring the appt forward. I have empathy with GPs endeavouring to provide a high class service with out the tools they need.

  3. Review titled No appointments

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been trying to contact a gp appointment for over a week now. Online system is like a game of fastest finger first or nothing at all.... Airmid uk doesn't have appointments either. As for phoning......I dial in a few seconds before 8am to be told I'm 40th in the queue.....how does that work???? Going over to the practice in person is hopeless too. I have been lucky not to need my gp for a few years, but when I do I can't get to see him/her.

I'm so sorry that you haven't been able to get an appointment when you required. Phone lines do get very busy at 8am. We do offer pre-bookable appointments up to 2 weeks in advance where possible and also try to advise of other services that could help when we are fully booked such as the chemist or 111. Please contact me and ask to speak to the practice manager if you wish to discuss this further, I would like to help. Kind regards Vicky Clayton Practice Manager

Had no problems getting an appointment on the morning, saw the Dr that day. He was fully understanding with my situation and offered me various remedial suggestions. Would recommend

  6. Review titled Superb practice!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Andrea - Posted on 10 November 2023

Always able to get an appointment at this surgery. Doctors/nurses are great, and always thorough. Reception staff are friendly and helpful too. My elderly parents have been looked after extremely well, home visits are offered as they are unable to attend surgery. Repeat prescriptions are done in record time. Advice given regarding home services, ie heart failure team, district nurses etc... The service this surgery provides is second to none. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

  7. Review titled Amazing doctors and staff providing a first class service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mr Singh - Posted on 01 August 2023

I would like to thank all the G.P. Partners and staff at Warley Medical Centre, for the help and continued support they have provided me over the past 2 years. They have been a pillar of support during what has been a very difficult time. We take the NHS for granted and never think twice about the service Doctors provide. It's only when you really need their help that you begin to understand how instrumental their help and support is in our wellbeing. You have my deepest heartfelt gratitude.

  8. Review titled Disappointing

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 July 2023

The last two appointments that I have had I have been extremely disappointed, it is like the GPs do not listen to what you are saying, I have rang up on two different occasions and felt like when expressing my issues they have not been bothered to listen or to class me as an individual patient instead of a diagnosis. Each person should be treated in according what works best for them or offered help with symptoms etc however I kept getting told to lose weight even after I explained how I have changed my entire lifestyle nearly a year ago. My concerns were not heard neither we my symptoms dealt with, you can see why more and more people are choosing other primary care routes or private healthcare.

  9. Review titled staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

It is impossible to see the Doctor of your ,own choice and i think all of the main Doctors are on an extended holiday. You get offered appointments with random Trainees and Locums and can never see the same Doctor twice. The nurse appointments are worse and they have 1 on maternity leave leaving a part time health care assistant and a new nurse who started earlier in the year (to replace another nurse that left not to cover maternity leave) covering the whole pratice. May i suggest less Locums and trainees and more nurses with the actual emloyed doctors actually seeing people.
