  3. Review titled Not informed

I have been having neurological issues for over 2 years aswell as stomach issues. I was diagnosed with cd a little over a year and a half ago so have to completely avoid gluten. I've been trying to get my neurological issues to get addressed for years but met with such resistance. told by gp it's anxiety for years even though gluten ataxia and gluten neuropathy are linked to cd. My question is how much research does this surgery put into getting information? Because it seems outdated. Being gf hasn't repaired the nerve damage and impacts my everyday life. I was told for probably the 8th time that the neurological issues are down to anxiety. Either they think I'm lying or do really believe it's anxiety. Late last year I asked to be referred to a neurologist but I come to find out that the referral is for ent which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I believe that I have gluten ataxia and neuropathy but I've been put in for a ent? It's frustrating using this surgery because they misinformed and just don't do things right.

  7. Review titled Disgusting.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Phoebe Overton - Posted on 20 October 2023

I have been phoning this doctors since 8am as soon as it opened. User busy? I’ve phoned 50 times! For my 83 year old nan who has been poorly the past few weeks. She has phoned everyday but nothing. Absolute joke finally got through to them and they said no appointments left. What do you mean no appointments left? Aren’t vulnerable people priority. I think it’s absolutely disgusting she has been going to this doctors for years. Keep telling her to change surgeries because it’s unacceptable for someone her age to be pushed to the side like that.

  8. Review titled A very competent and professional practise.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by David James Willetts - Posted on 25 January 2024

Following a continental holiday last year I visited the practise believing I had a re-occurrence of a basal cell carcinoma and needed to be referred for its removal. The doctor viewed the ear and set about the procedure for referral. I then asked an opinion about a dark area about .7cm wide on my nose expecting a comment that it would probably be a liver spot or something of little concern. The doctor immediately suggested it was more serious than I believed and said there was a need for an early referral to a dermatologist. I was referred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital initially for photography but before my appointment I was given an immediate appointment with the dermatology consultant and was seen within 1 week of my visit to the GP. Biopsies were carried out within days and the results showed that both the ear and the nose showed early signs of melanoma type skin cancers. Before the end of October the operation on my right ear was undertaken and by the middle of November the ear was confirmed clear following the surgery. The initial operation to the nose cancer was undertaken on 30th November by the Plastic Surgery Team. The all clear on the nose skin cancer was given prior to the nose reconstruction surgery on 11th January. As a result of the knowledge and professional capability of the GP I am now comfortable in the knowledge that my current potentially serious melanoma skin cancers have been completely dealt with and diligence in the future monitoring of any skin blemishes is a pre-requisite to preventing future problems. The GP also removed a mole from my right shoulder in December to ally my fears following the biopsy results in October. Thus due to the diligence and professionalism of the GP and practise resulting in a speedy referral I now feel my current skin cancer problems have been speedily dealt with within 4 months of the original diagnosis by the GP and the subsequent excellent surgery procedures at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

  10. Review titled Can't get appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 March 2023

My daughter wanted an appt because she is experiencing leg pains, dizzy spells/feeling faint and migraines, unable to get an appt for more than 3 weeks and the only offer was for a telephone consultation. My elderly mom needs to book an appt for repeat prescription review, the medication she takes cannot be missed due to heart condition yet she can't get an appt and could only be offered a telephone call with a pharmacy over 2 weeks away. It's getting too stressful to get appointments. To be told they dont have enough doctors! Never had a problem when there were only 4 and one nurse. Maybe try not allowing new registers or stop registering people outside the area so local people can be treated.
