  1. Review titled Brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Cannot fault the care here. Been registered for all members of the family for a number of years and never had a negative experience - friendly, sensible, efficient. Never an issue getting appointments. Only problem can be long waits on the phone but can pop in to get an appointment if able also.

  2. Review titled Poor customer service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Long wait times when ringing surgery, often calling off due to reception not answering phones. Tried to get Drs appointment brought forward, using online service, there's a 16 week wait, phoned Kingsbury surgery twice got through was 5th in queue, after 15 minutes called off. I phoned later, when not so busy, reception didn't answer. I don't use Hurley Surgery, because they didn't have my meds done when I went for them, so I order online and get them delivered. I requested a urgent telephone appointment, explained I had Shingles, you'd think I would be offered a home visit, no had to ask my neighbour to take a photo of rash! I was invited to have Asthma review the appointment was for face to face at surgery, reminder read telephone, I had to ring to clarify. I made a Drs appointment at Kingsbury, received a text changing the Dr and surgery to Hurley. I have a Muscular Skeletal condition and suffer from chronic pain and fatigue, it's very distressing when you can't get through to reception and online your not able to book an appointment for 4 months! This is not acceptable!

  3. Review titled Will not answer phone

Rated 1 star out of 5

I tried to ring the Surgery but after 45 minutes I was still waiting for someone to answer the phone, I put the phone down and tried again only to be informed I was no.6 in the queue. I visited the Surgery in person 10 minutes after trying to ring thinking that they must be extemely busy but to my amazement the waiting room and reception was completely empty with 4 people behind the reception desk!! I am at a loss to understand why no one would pick up the phone and feel very sorry for elderly patients who rely on the phone and cannot get to the Surgery in person to make an appointment. I cannot understand why this contemptuous situation is allowed to persist, an absolute disgrace.

  4. Review titled Horrendous phone line system

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Jackie - Posted on 19 June 2023

Unfortunately the reception system here let's down the whole practice. Today I spent 3 hours on hold to then be disconnected! This is not the first time. On average it takes one hour to speak to a human if the phone loop lets you through. I have found most of my dealings with Kingsbury reception disappointing to say the least. Please please please update your phone systems and bring in people that have pride and customer service as their top priority. All doctors I have had dealings with have been amazing!

  5. Review titled Amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Linda Howell - Posted on 06 April 2023

I was very concerned about a mole that had appeared in the last year or so and a friend who was a retired nurse commented that I should get it looked at. I popped into the surgery today to ask for advice as I was worried. The receptionist offered to notify the duty doctor to see what could be done. Within 10 minutes I had a message from the doctor requesting a photo of it. I sent it and had a message quite quickly reassuring me that doctor wasn’t concerned and he told me what he thought it was and offering an appointment to discuss options. The surgery rang me straight away and I was offered an appointment in a few weeks time. All sorted within about 40 minutes!! Most impressed with the service and happy to be with this practice. I’ve only been with you for about a year and so glad I changed. Thank you. The only frustration is how long it takes to get through by phone. I now pop in rather than wait so long.

  7. Review titled Truly dreadful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Gail Avery - Posted on 19 June 2023

Went to see GP at the beginning of the year after waiting over two months for appointment. Diagnosed with an ear infection and given antibiotic drops and tablets even after I told him I could not take oral antibiotics. The tablets made me I’ll so I continued with the ear drops. Made another appointment still with a two month wait. In the meantime Googled my symptoms of Tinnitus in one ear. Was extremely alarmed to see that if it n one ear only this must always be considered to be a red flag. As the wait was so long and none of the staff were answering the phone I paid privately to see someone else. Was sent for an immediate MRI scan and then given diagnosis of Acoustic Neuroma. I have now changed my GP practice as this was the final straw. Such a change to have a receptionist who not only answers the phone but actually looks at you and smiles instead of treating you with contempt. Kingsbury have some terrible reviews on their web site and something should really be done about that practice. I stood them for thirty years and had almost got used to having to drive there when I wanted to speak to them . The staff were never busy and did their best to ignore patients. I should have left long ago and I would recommend that everyone else do the same

  8. Review titled Ignorance personified

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by A Cole - Posted on 18 January 2023

Wed 18th Jan @ 4pm. Having driven from Yorkshire to visit my mum, all I needed was to hand in a prescription for her before driving back home. The door was locked and 4 different staff members saw me standing at the door but not one acknowledged me. Whilst I was there, a notice was stuck to the door stating they were closed for the afternoon, it took more effort to print the sign than it would have taken to answer the door to me. An employee who was leaving, did speak to me and I explained the predicament, but she said she could not help as she had finished for the day. The lack of compassion and customer service from this practice is astounding. I rang Pear Tree Surgery and the message was that due to high call volumes, I was in a queue. No one was answering the phones at all. I went to a local pharmacy, I explained the situation and the staff there were fantastic, they said they would submit the prescription the following day to the surgery. GP's get a lot of bad press since Covid and most do not deserve it, Pear Tree Surgery is an example of everything that is wrong with the health service and why that bad press is given, it is a very poor service for a community that deserves a lot better.

  9. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

by ste - Posted on 10 October 2022

Was on hold for 1hr 30 mins before anyone picked up. 30 minutes of this wasat the front of the call queue (you can tell because you get a ringing sound instead of the hold music). This means the phone was ringing out in the surgery for 30 entire minutes without anyone doing anything about it. Lead time for appointments is also completely shocking.
