  1. Review titled No point even being there

Rated 1 star out of 5

I’ve had to change to this gp a couple years ago as my original gp had too much capacity, i would never recommend this gp to anyone, i’ve tried to get in there 4 times over the past two years for relatively serious stuff (i won’t use the gp unless i really need to) and every time i’ve been fobbed off to the online service where i don’t get any contact with a doctor or nurse, my most recent problem which has kept me off work for nearly 3 weeks they won’t even see me, i just got a prescription from the doctor over text saying it was ready, no information of what pharmacy it was at either. I would understand if it was a busy gp, but whenever I have been in there it’s been dead, only 1 or 2 other patents in the building. Avoid this practice and change to a new gp if you can, even the local pharmacist didn’t recommend them.

  3. Review titled Kind Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I received a recent call from a member of the administration staff who was following up a query I had about delays in receiving a referral letter. She outlined the situation and was so helpful and understanding. I felt so much better having spoken to her and wanted the opportunity to thank her. I’ve been with this practice for many, many years and have always been treated with care and respect. Thankyou.

  4. Review titled A Bit Unhappy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by E Russell - Posted on 30 June 2023

I recently saw a Doctor and he said I needed to be seen by the hospital and he would make a referral. After 3 weeks I still hadn’t received a referral form and on contacting by E-consult was told appointments can take a while, but I hadn’t received the referral form! A week later, 4 weeks after seeing the doctor, I received the referral form. Obviously no appointments available!! But with so many administration staff why does it take 4 weeks to send out a form? In general my surgery has been good and everyone is pleasant and helpful, but I’m a bit unhappy about this delay.

  5. Review titled Good practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Recently I have been impressed by the improvements made at Whitehall Medical Practice. I am particularly happy about the reception staff on the front desk (in particular Marisol). On the occasions I have been to the surgery always greeted in a friendly and pleasant manner and not made to feel like the receptionist is doing me favour. I have also used the e-consult service many times which has saved me from trips to the surgery for things that a simple over the phone or video diagnosis would deal with.

  6. Review titled NHS needs a doctor

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Ian Lauder - Posted on 07 November 2022

Got up this morning, went dizzy and collapsed to the floor. Sat on bed and the room was spinning. No alcohol involved. Stood up, lost balance, fell again. Dialed 111 - no response. Tried 111 online, answered questionaire - got telephone call from a nurse who asked the same questions and made an appointment at the urgent tratment department of St Cross hospital. Supported by my wife I walked there and felt a little better. The nurse took my blood pressure but said they should not have sent me there as they can not order a blood sample - referred me to the GP - walked to the surgery where a rather rude receptionist said I should not be there but I must go home and book an appointment on computer. I am now home - turned on computer to book a GP appointment where the first line says you can book it in person at the surgery "speak to the receptionist". I gave up and decided if I feel about to collapse again, I'll crawl out onto the street and await a good Samaritan!

  7. Review titled Accessibility issues

Rated 1 star out of 5

There is building work going on at this practice which is expected to last until February 2023. This has reduced the number of parking spaces available and as of today, 19th October 2022, there are no Disabled spaces. The lift is also currently out of order. If you have mobility issues, you will need to ask to be seen in a room on the ground floor.

  8. Review titled What a shambles - Online booking switched off at the GP's.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 September 2022

Waste of time having a computer, as the system does not work. It is now 7pm and it says online booking system has been switched off at the GP's. So not able to book an appointment online. Booking online only available between 8am and 5pm. What a shambles. Uncontactable, even by computer email messaging

  9. Review titled Thank you to the Receptionists

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sheila Smith - Posted on 10 August 2022

Following problems caused by my online prescription provider, I had to call at the surgery yesterday to get an emergency prescription for my asthma medication to get it filled locally. The receptionists were lovely and so helpful both on the phone and at the surgery and they and the lady who issues the repeat prescriptions sorted it all out. Thank you all.

  10. Review titled Super organised

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I applaud Whitehall Medical practice’s brilliant organisation. The online consult feature is wonderfully efficient. I submitted my form this morning at 9:10 resulting in a 10:30 appointment with doctor and was home with prescription medicine before 11:00! I have used this service several times and it has always dealt with my queries quickly and efficiently. Bravo
