    I spoke to my doctor on Friday 12th April.and recieved a call the same day from the beacon medical group to book me in the following Tuesday 16th April for an Endoscopy. Staff were extremely friendly even when on the phone. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel at ease and I was very nervous. The reception staff the nurses and the doctor were all so good. It was a slightly uncomfortable procedure but was over in 5 minutes. Would definitely recommend this group.

    Just spent over an hour on the phone and on the internet trying to get someone to talk to me about treatment - finally, spoke to someone who rang me back a few hours later only for them to tell me to go Derriford A&E! This is the second time for something unrelated! It feels like a chest infection and in the good old days when a doctor would actually see you at this practice I'd imagine that's what they'd find. No wonder A&E is so full - shocking!

    Completed E consultation 15-03-2024 at 12:41 and have yet to have any communication back. I have logged this twice via the feedback link and yet still no communication. Shocking service, No communication. Not the first time I have had highly inadequate service. No patient care or compassion received. Highly disappointing. I still remain unwell and at risk.

    Thank you for your feedback. Patients should expect an email or text from the practice once their online consultation has had an initial clinical review, this text will indicate when a GP or member of the clinical team may contact the patient. Normally an initial clinical review takes place within 24 hours of receiving the online consultation (longer if submitted at evenings or weekend). I apologise if you did not receive this message. If appropriate a member of the clinical team will respond to an online request with information either via call, email or text- depending on the nature of clinical concern. If a patient requests medication this can sometimes be dealt with appropriately without the GP needing to see or call a patient.     An e-consult was completed 5 March, & a reply stating I'd be contacted by 1830hrs 6 March. No contact received, so a reminder was sent to the surgery, & a reply stating I'd now be contacted by 21 March! On 21 March, received a text stating a prescription has been left at surgery for me. No human contact whatsoever!!

    Absolutely appalling service, every time you speak to reception (who by the way act as if they are God's gift to the healthcare system), you are met with a cold and unfriendly response; they can't get you off the phone quick enough. By the time you eventually get through to a GP they can't get you off the phone quick enough, the majority of them are short with you and concern and consideration for patients has gone out the window. I've occasionally had an understanding doctor but not very often at all. The few times that I have been in the surgery there's hardly anyone there and the phone is never ringing, so god knows why it takes 20+ minutes to get through to someone!

    Whatever I've used the econsult service for, repeat prescription or organising fit note, the time it takes to organise is beyond stretched, and iften incorrect. As a disabled patient in a wheelchair, it's frustrating to ask a family member to come and vollect to hear the items you've told me will be ready by a certain time, to find out yet again that they are not ready, therefore putting further pressure on those family members trying to help

    Following a phone consultation I was invited for an appointment within 30mins,where upon the doctor carried out a thorough examination which upon she was able to alleviate my concerns with a precise & common sense approach

    Met my GP for first time having only spoken on the phone before. Excellent communicator. Made it easy to understand and also prepared to listen. Worth the wait

    I was given a face to face appointment with my new doctor. She had a very pleasant manner and gave me appropriate advice. I had to wait 25 minutes past my appointment time but I was advised the doctor was running late and she apologised when I saw her. Visiting a surgery is a very different experience from before the pandemic and I feel patients are very much discouraged from seeing a doctor.
