    The form itself is clear and easy to use. When I want to back track to make amendments it becomes blank. How do you know who is sending the form in? There seems to be no space for name and addresses. Do I get to keep a copy? What I write may be helpful in my appointment.

    I cannot fault the service received since the new booking service has been installed. I have had contact back the same day with an appointment each time. Reception staff very helpful and I have received what I consider a high standard of care and attention from the Doctors. The surgery areas are always clean and tidy. My one and only criticism is that the upstairs waiting room is now very small and cramped. On my last visit people were having to stand around the staircase. Not enough room for pushchairs.

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to express your gratitude for the service provided it really does mean a lot. I am pleased that you like the new booking system and the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. We changed cleaning contractors last month and we are extremely happy with the service being provided. I have shared your feedback with all the staff and in particular the Receptionists and Doctors. We are now providing a fully face to face service for all clinicians and this has highlighted the issue with the upstairs waiting room and I am trying to come up with a solution.     I have tried to book appointment online which is a joke. The phones are always busy last month trying to book appointment cost me £37 and i findthis not acceptable. I saw a doctor about 4 weeks ago which I have no fault with doctor stated if cough does not improve make further appointment. I have had this cough for at least eight weeks and as you can see on my recofeds I have Ashma. As I cant get through on the phone and I can book online what can I do , I want an appointment with the same doctor as I saw last time.We hae been patients since 50 years and find the service has gone down hill as to what it was at Dean Lane.

    Dear Brenda Coggins, I am sorry that you have had this experience trying to get through to the practice and I have asked for one of the Navigators to give you a call today so that we can help to rectify this for you. We have listened to patients regarding our phone system and the difficulties getting through and so we are waiting for a date for a new system to be installed. We are also moving to Klinik on-line requests from 2nd October 2023. The link for completion will be live on our website from next week. It is hoped that those that can, will fill out an online request and therefore it will be easier to get through on the phone system for those patients that do not have online access. A patient calling the practice will be asked the same questions as the online request which will be completed by a navigator and then all requests will be triaged. This triaging system will allow appointments to be allocated according to urgency. We are always keen to hear patients feedback and make the necessary changes to make it easier for our patients to access the practice when they need to.     I joined the surgery 2 weeks ago and have been trying to get through on the phone ever since but can't get through. So I went to the surgery today to get online online access and I got the NHS app put in the relevant details signed in but then it says no appointments for this surgery and no repeat meds just showing my medical records. I am unable to make an appointment on front desk. Just what am I supposed to do. I have now applied today go go to bridge view in the hope that I can at least get through.

    On the Wednesday having a text from the surgery saying my blood test had been cancelled For the second time I telephoned to rearrange the appointment. when I eventually got through, I was number 15 in line I eventually got to number one still no one answered, and this was after five hours on the telephone. The following day I phoned two times still could not get through. Eventually I went to the surgery and they had no Idea what the previous appointment was for. I just gave up

    Dear Gordon Page, I am sorry to hear the difficulties you have had regarding cancelled appointments and getting in touch with the practice. I appreciate how frustrating this must be. We have listened to patient feedback regarding our current phone system and are waiting for a date to have a new system installed. We are also launching our new e-consult system on 2nd October which should make it easier for those that can not complete online requests to get through to us on the phone where a navigator will support complete a request on your behalf.     Had really fab experiences with booking appointments and referrals. I have been really impressed. Staff on the phone are super helpful and if you can't book an appt on the phone requesting one online seems even better. Thank you!

    On moving to the practice I was quickly seen by a doctor who listened to my worries. I had an extremely sore, inflamed toe and an X-Ray was quickly secured. I was also worried by a possible lump in my breast which wasn't but the doctor said, given my history of a mastectomy, it should be checked. Appointment to the Breast Clinic at Southmead was arranged and lump confirmed. Needless to say, I am extremely grateful for her solicitude. I would also like to say that when I have rung up, I have got through in a matter of minutes and that the staff in the practice are extremely welcoming as well as efficient: for instance, repeat prescriptions are always at the pharmacy on time.

    Twice recently I have waited in the queue to get through to the other queue at Bedminster Family Practice to try and get an appointment. Having rung from 8.30a.m, today I got into the first queue at about 8.50a.m at position 14. I spent quite a while with the awful music and comments of how important my call was to them, and eventually got to position No 1......and got cut off!! This happened only a few weeks ago on my last call to the surgery. On that first time I was so angry I called back and waited and luckily got through, but this time I don't have the heart to go through the rigmorale of waiting to speak to a human hopefully. My physical and mental health are suffering at the moment and I really could've done with an appointment today, but am too angry to call again incase I lose it. So I will take a deep breath and try again on Monday at 8.30a.m. I would like an explanation as to why this is happening. I don't believe it is a system error. Are you just too busy with calls and cutting off to relieve the load? All appointments are important so don't cut us off. I gave a 4 star review at the beginning of this and that is because my doctor when I see him is extremely good and I would recommend his service. If this was to do with the appointment system I wouldn't give it more than 1 star. I look forward to hearing from somebody and an appointment would be nice.

  10. Review titled Worrying errors.

    Both of the last prescriptions issued to my online pharmacy Lloyds Direct have been wrong. In the first instance the quantity prescribed was half what it should have been and in the second the dosage of the tablets was incorrect. Not only is this very inconvenient in that I have to jump all the hurdles and hoops to contact the surgery to get the mistakes rectified but it's also worrying that insufficient attention is being paid to patients details. In my case it's not so important but for others these details are vital and far more care needs to be taken to get these prescriptions right first time.
