    Further to my previous review, I used the triage system for the first time this morning. It was so smooth and efficient. I submitted the form at 7:30am, and received a text 10 minutes later giving me a face to face appointment at 9:45 this morning. I am super impressed at how easy it was. Anyone that is wary of using it, like I was, don't be. It's great. I was impressed with the service when I arrived too.

    I was confused about the triage system, so I left feedback. The practice contacted me right away and reassured me. I now understand why they had to introduce this system. I had no idea there are so many missed appointments. People should be valuing the NHS, not taking it for granted. I am embracing the new system and I encourage others to do so. It seems to be the only way forward unfortunately.

    I rang the practice on behalf of my daughter as she was upset. I waited an hour to be handed over to a rather officious women who called me agressive. It was actually her who was being short with me. It was a ver unpleasant experience & has made me want to change surgeries as it has happened before. I think it may have been the same person. It’s not called for when you are phoning for help.

    This practice has recently closed its car park completely to all patients, including disabled. It appears that the convenience of staff (who now use the car park) trumps patients who cannot.

    Thank you for leaving feedback regarding the parking at Oldfield Surgery. Unfortunately the parking situation around Oldfield Park is out of the Surgeries hands, this is a council decision. We have had to use our car park for staff use, otherwise we would have no staff to man the Surgery, as most staff live outside of Bath. There is parking behind the surgery by the school which is for two hours and not permit restricted. Disable patients which have a blue badge are not restricted where they park on the road.     Stood behind a patient that was very rude to receptionist at the time of my visit . The receptionist done a great job of remaining professional. The Surgery covers a large area and is always busy and the staff are doing their best . Plenty of parking behind the surgery

    Yesterday, I received excellent support from Reception at 1pm and from a GP at 3pm. Very much appreciated, especially as the practice was clearly so busy.

    After some hunting to find out how to register an NHS account, and eventually succeeding, I am disappointed that I still need to waste time in a long telephone queue to make a non-covid, non-vaccination, and non-urgent GP appointment.

We have a few ways you can contact HOB for a routine appointments, email us on bswicb.appointments.HeartofBath@nhs.net, via on line services, (which you are registered for). We only release GP routine appointment two weekly, so if you have looked and can't see any, then unfortunately there aren't any appointments available.     I have had to call the Oldfield Surgery twice in the past week, on two urgent issues, and got an immediate appt at St James, last week and a call back from a doctor this morning within half an hour. Staff were extremely kind and understanding. Highly recommend Heart of Bath.

    As a young woman I feel as though when a problem arrises medically it is already hard enough to be taken seriously, and not dismissed as something ‘hormonal’ or ‘period’ related. I recently joined this surgery and unfortunately became very ill not long after. I developed all the symptoms of an internal infection and was given numerous urine tests. Once the doctors had told me it wasn’t an infection and that they had ruled out it wasn’t anything fatal, I was dismissed and had no follow up, even though I continued to feel unwell and told them this. I repeatedly called and asked what can be done to help me, no one was bothered or interested in helping me, even though my symptoms were so bad I could not attend university, my part time job or even get out of bed. I was the told by one of the doctors that my symptoms are from my anxiety, and that my anxiety could be making the symptoms up… I can’t begin to explain how frustrating it is to feel unwell and to be told you’re imagining the symptoms. I was also told that I was put down for referrals multiple times by different doctors, only to find out now that I wasn’t put down for any and that I was being continuously lied to. I’m appalled by the service I’ve received. I will not be using this surgery anymore and if anyone I know in Bath wants to be taken seriously and seen by a doctor, I would not recommend this practice.
