    I had been prescribed blood pressure medication abroad which I needed to have changed to an English prescription. The tablets were going to run out in less than 2 weeks but I couldn't have a phone call from the doctor for over 2 weeks. I kept ringing daily for a cancelation I then started worrying I wouldn't get a prescription on time, the doctor did ring in the end but rang my Mums phone number even though I had up dated it so I didn't get the phone call. I ended up calling 111 who could see the problem and arranged a phone call for over the next 24 hours. I was then sorted for the prescription change and future mointering. I was so worried and stressed not knowing if I would be about to get the medication on time. Not the Blackthorn health center I've been going to for 30 odd years. The actual doctor I spoke to was very good just the system to get seen in not working very well if you are out side the box

    I was seen on time, the doctor was thorough and explained everything, taking care to gain my confidence, trust and consent. I was allowed time to undress and dress. There was time allocated for any questions and I was told what to do if further problems arose!

    Last year I received a text asking me to book an annual check. When calling I was told they do not take more appountments and I must try again in a month. In Jam i was very unwell. Had a telephonic consultation. After many tests the doctor called, asked me to make an in person routine appointment. I called and qas told the they cannot accept appoitments and I most try again at the end of 2 weeks. By the end of 2 weeks I wpuld ha e gone more than a month without diagnosis and professional treatment. And I cannot even make an appointment. I wish to express my disappointment and hope that I can be allowed to make an appointment one day.

    I was phoned on 31/01/24 by a doctor after 3pm. The doctor was succinct, professional and interested in my well-being. He totally reassured and helped me. Many thanks.

    Following a change in COPD medication some three months ago, I attended a review with my Nurse to see how I was progressing. The review lasted some 20 minutes, all relevant questions were asked and responded to in a professional and friendly manner. I have always been well attended to at this practice - Thank you!

    Asked to take a blood test to review type 2 diabetes. Got reminders on my phone which is always handy. Had to wait a couple of weeks. Checked into the practice and was seen right away, Very Good.

    I was diagnosed type 2 diabetes June 2022 and since then the practice have really looked after me. A infected foot blisters on a Friday late afternoon was seen with in 1/2 hour of calling it in and reviewed by both nurse and duty doctor. All call request responded by qualified staff and prescriptions prioritised when required.

    I attended the practice for an arranged blood test. On time and efficantly done by pleasant nurse. No one on duty at reception but a helpful lady came to assist when I was unable to get the automated reception device to work.

    It is very difficult to obtain a blood test at the surgery when a timeline has been instructed by the doctor. Face to face appointments are not easily made or available. Incorrect diagnosis made over the telephone resulted in a 10 day hospital stay.
