  2. Review titled Appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

It is no longer possible to book an appointment online. I telephoned Highcliffe Medical Centre, Dorset today and waited for one and a half hours to be called back at 11.45. I was told I could not be given an appointment but had to call back at 8.30 tomorrow or visit the surgery at 8.00 am tomorrow and I would be given one then. I told the receptionist that my husband has just had a hip replacement and to visit at 8.00 or call at 8.30 is very difficult for me at present. She said she was still unable to help…..

The fraility team assessed both my wife and myself and we were given very good help and advice. Pamela was prescribed Ensure because her weight had dropped very considerably and has now gained over 4 lbs.

  4. Review titled Providing a fabulous service to our community

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Good Morning, I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you. I know people don’t always say it enough sometimes. I haven’t had cause to use the doctors for several years and have been to see you or spoken to the one of your lovely doctors 3 times in the last couple of weeks for three separate things. Each time you have managed to squeeze me in for an appointment, which I have appreciated knowing how stretched you all are. Everyone I have spoken to including reception has shown me great kindness, care, taken the time to listen to me and most importantly reassure me about my various aliments. In particular, I met Nurse Claire on Friday. She was lovely and took the time to explain what was going on and to reassure me. Everyone is so busy these day and I just wanted to say thank you, you are all providing a fabulous service to our community.

  5. Review titled Superb support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Rang with an urgent request to speak to a Dr. Receptionist helpful and professional. Dr called back within 40 mins and asked to see me a couple of hours later. Dr thorough, reassuring and highly professional. Referred me directly to Bournemouth hospital for tests. Bournemouth hospital also v thorough. We hear terribly concerning issues re healthcare in the news but Highcliffe Surgery are excellent and we are v lucky to be patients there, cannot fault any of the staff, professional and committed. Thank you for your continued commitment to patients during this v difficult time when the demands upon you all are immense.

Very experienced, informed, and supportive reception staff. Helped with a prescription and swiftly resolved it by issuing another. The reception staff was engaging, kind, and thoughtful.

  7. Review titled Outstanding patient care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stuart Mitchell - Posted on 29 November 2022

I had a severe back pain before I had to travel to Sudan for work. I called the surgery in the morning and had an appointment with a student GP who explored all causes and symptoms- he then referred me to you and affirmed the student's assessment. The GP then prescribed two medications which were made available 15 minutes later in the pharmacy. I followed all the prescriptions and the on-line videos of recovery from the specific back pain. I am now fully fit again and very appreciative of the care I received

  8. Review titled Difficult to get through on the phone.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 November 2022

Difficult to get through on the phone on hold for over an hour. Unable to get son in for flu vaccine and no date given for when vaccine is coming back in. Given news over the phone (post covid) of life long illness and was made to feel I was being unreasonable by asking for a face to face appointment.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Gary O Neil - Posted on 21 June 2022

Your review: Tried to book an appointment, explained that I was rushed into hospital 2 weeks ago and was concerned that I had not heard anything ! I was given an appointment for 3 weeks time ! well let’s hope I can make it. 45 minute wait on telephone and then spoke to one of the most rudest person I ever come across. I will be changing my doctors Please avoid this surgery if your ill.
