I needed an appt to talk to the practice pharmacist about adverse reactions to new prescription, so called today around 11:15 when I hoped the morning rush would be over. First call I was told the queue was full so called again at 11:30. I held on for about an hour going down from 9 in the queue to first. Then after about 10 minutes it changed to ‘we will answer your call shortly rather than you are number one. After another 20minutes I had to put the phone diwn as I was no longer in any queue. I hour 20 mins for Nothing???? I don’t know how to use computers so do I keep calling? What do I do?

  2. Review titled Impossible to get through to make an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been trying to get through to a receptionist all morning to make an appointment. Everytime I try I am always caller No: 8 in the queue, and that is where I remain even after waiting for 30 minutes. It's hopeless.

  3. Review titled Impossible to see a GP

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have had 4 appointments cancelled with this surgery, with no explanation other than‘unforeseen circumstances’. I am not sure what is necessary to see a doctor. I have been in pain for a year and have had no tests or advice. Frustrating and hopeless.

From my perspective Longcroft Clinic has improved a huge amount. The appointments I have had recently were all on time and carried out by friendly and professional people. Whatever has changed keep it up.

  5. Review titled Excellent reception

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went into the surgery today to get an appointment for my wife. I could see that they very busy (the surgery was full) the receptionist went out of her way to help me due to the slots being full but the receptionist managed to get my wife an appointment with the nurse later in the afternoon. I really really thank them for trying all the means possible and finally getting an appointment. Excellent receptionist and well done the Longcroft. Thank you.

Longcroft was poor..the receptionist were rude, discussed patients outloud and some of the Dr's were the same. Patients were just an inconvenience. In the last 6 months there has been a huge improvements. Receptionist are polite and do what they can to help. Dr's and Nurses smile and great you and are interested in you. A welcome change..long may it continue

  7. Review titled Thank you Longcroft Clinic

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My mum In law is new to the practice and was asked to provide blood pressure readings. The lovely receptionist assisted my relative taking the reading and alerted the nurse when the reading was high. She was then seen promptly by the nurse and referred on to the nurse practitioner who persuaded my reluctant mum in law that she needed to go to A & E. Everyone was really kind and caring and all worked together. Thank you Longcroft Clinic for all your help.

  8. Review titled Professional practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went in person to book my appointment with a kind and efficient receptionist. The doctor was sympathetic and instilled confidence. Blood tests were booked and a prescription issued immediately which was waiting for me at the chemist. The ensuing blood tests were taken easily by a kind nurse. Every member of staff was efficient and made me feel valued.

  9. Review titled Long delay

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by John Willis - Posted on 05 December 2022

I had an appointment with a nurse for removal of one stitch for a biopsy. I waited for 45 minutes and for most of that time the reception was empty. It took 2 to 3 minutes for the stitch to be removed. No antiseptic wipe was used before the stitch was removed, no reason or apology was given for the long delay which was totally disproportionate to the length of time taken to remove one stitch painfully.

  10. Review titled Dereliction of duties

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I phoned the practice at 08.30 for the on call GP to phone me regarding my mother. I stated to call on my mobile. The landline was phoned when i was out. I re phoned at 16.00 to reiterate i required to talk to the GP. No GP phoned me. Mum required antibiotics and steroids for a chest infection. I have the same and live with her. The next morning mum's condition worsened and 111 was phoned resulting in mum going to hospital to lay on a trolley for 10 hours to be discharged with , guess what, antibiotics and steroids. How much does an ambulance, hospital admission for 10 hours cost? Not to mention mum's,93, unpleasant and uncomfortable experience physically and mentally. All could have been avoided with a GP phone call .
