Have received nothing but exceptional care from this surgery for my mum, now passed. Nurses, paramedic and GPs all lovely. Reception v helpful. Very grateful.

Its the NHS in 2023. Demand is hitherto unmatched. This practice has improved greatly over the past few years. Great doctors. Very pleased with care from paramedic in particular.

GP's are fine and appointment slots are offered within a fair time frame. The problem is the excruciating administrative process of calling or filling in a form at 8am each morning. Either a 1 hour wait on the phone or a response to say the form you have completed is incorrect. It took me over 2 weeks to book a routine appointment for my son when he was discharged from hospital care. Urine samples did not come back for over a week and naturally the admin team are not able to advise on the results (which is fair) however, when you ask, please can a doctor call me so I can understand the results? sorry you have to call back at 8am tomorrow morning or fill out a form...the form is reguarly out of action since they are inundated with requests. They even sent me the results in the hope I might understand them? Someone please equip this surgery and their admin team with an effective booking service so they can do their job effectively.

A very frustrating experience after seeking help for mental health issues. First after a triage appointment and being referred to the mental health care team being told it would be a number of weeks (not the surgery’s fault) so I decide to go private to speed things up. After speaking to the insurance company I have to get the doctor to fill out a form. Spoke to the surgery and that will take at least a week and cost £100! After seeing a private psychiatrist a letter is sent to the surgery changing medication. The surgery can’t find it but also won’t provide an email address for the psychiatrist to send directly. So more delay before I can actually get help due to their administration.

Private medical forms are chargeable as these are completed in the GPs own time. Privately prescribed medication should be administered by your Private Clinician

GPS are fine and my Mother-in-laws experience with actual GP & nurses doing blood pressure & ECG has been great. However the Admin side is not she is 91. Told to book appointments online, then told she’s completed wrong form. Delays in getting appointments because of this. Texts saying she needs to hand in urine sample, pot having to be collected from surgery when she can’t get there so involves family. Then family member being told it can’t be accepted because it has to be on system and we don’t just take samples from anyone. This is despite the fact she had text to ask for urine sample, she filled in correct form, used correct bottle, had to label bottle with 91yr old arthritic hands and hand it in by 11am next day. Staff need to realise you need to adapt to meet certain situations especially with elderly. The elderly do not always stand up for themselves but others should not have to fight for the care they need.

I'm sorry to hear this. Our admin team are happy to fill in the correct forms on behalf of our patients that are unable to do so. Please do ask our team in future if this is a problem. Samples need to be returned to the surgery at 11am, the hospital courier from St Peters comes to us at 12.00 each day. This is something that is out of our control. If you feel that your mother in law needs extra help please do contact our social prescriber who may be able to assist in helping to locate a service that may be able to help with her daily needs/ tasks.

I’ve always seem to get the appointment with the locum doctor. Always, always they are brilliant. One has to fill a form online giving details other than phone for an appointment. However, works very efficiently.

This practice has been excellent in looking after not only an ongoing issue but also with a sudden ailment. Yes you have to book on line to get an appointment but their response is very quick and efficient. Reception cheerful and helpful, nurses excellent, and doctors impressive. Well done Hersham.

The support from this surgery and the Doctors has been brilliant. They are good at dealing with urgent issues as well as ongoing health problems. I have full trust in the Doctors and the services they provide. You have to fill out the online form first thing in the morning but I have always recieved a reply from the admin team.

Trying to book an appointment at this surgery is very frustrating wish there was another lcoal prcatice I could join. The Doctors are fine but the booking system is terrible

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the booking system. Our local Surrey Heartlands ICB provides the website and this is the same for all local practices. We are doing our best to assist our patients and submit the online forms on their behalf upon patient request. We are currently looking for alternatives to the website. Phone booking system exasperating. The online website is a complete joke. How anyone with no computer skills gets an appointment is beyond me. My GP requested I see him asap, the booking "system" wouldn't let me have an appointment. You go round and round in ever frustrating circles. I am leaving as soon as I can. This is a shame because the medical staff are friendly and pretty efficient. Pity you struggle to see anyone!
