My GP at Statham Grove is the best GP I have ever had (and I’ve only had 2 appointments). I sadly experienced the worst of a very stretched and under resourced NHS earlier this year and seeing this doctor has completely restored my faith. She was so kind, and thorough whilst familiarising herself with my very complicated recent medical history. A true asset to the practice.

I wanted to thank my practice, Statham Grove and let them know how useful it was for my mother to have a proactive care appointment at the practice a couple of weeks ago. My mother who is in her nineties was invited to see the pharmacist who very kindly reviewed her medications, explaining what all her pills were, took the time to talk to her about other worries she has about her health, asked her about her living conditions and her diet. It was great to have the time to talk to someone in more than the usual 10 minutes and to cover my mum’s worries about more general, non specific aspects of her health. We both felt that the practice really cared, shared information about my mum with the rest of the practice team so that she need not have to repeat herself every time she sees someone. We were given another appointment to see a GP so that we could talk in more detail about the things that are worrying my mum. All in all, this was a really impressive service and I wanted to let my practice know.

I called the surgery as a doctor had said they would arrange medication for me following a distressing life event. The receptionist managed to arrange for the pharmacist to chase this for me and sort this the same day. The receptionist then called me later to confirm if this had been resolved. She was extremely kind on the phone when I was upset, and her manner was empathetic and reassuring. It was probably the most positive experience that I have ever had with a member of GP reception staff. If this is seen, please pass on my praise and thanks :) I really needed this kindness today and appreciate it more than I can say.

I have been at this practice for several years. The doctors are all caring, knowledgable and will always refer you for any test necessary to ensure you get the treatment needed. The nursing team are all very good and I feel confident in seeing them; when I require blood tests and injections. My experiences with the reception staff is excellent. They are on the frontline and always busy. However; they are always helpful and try their hardest to deal with any enquiry. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the staff for being accessible during the covid pandemic.

I brought my 13 year old daughter for an HPV vaccine today. She has injection phobia. The nurse was wonderfully kind and amazingly patient. This enabled my daughter to go ahead with the jab.

From the helpful receptionists who always do their best to find me an appointment slot, to the kind, efficient doctors I have always had a great service from this practice but this December/January has been stand-out amazing. I’ve been able to get appointments when I needed them, have utilised the excellent link-up with the local pharmacy and been referred quickly and easily to an appointment at Homerton hospital saving me time and saving the A&E department from an unnecessary visitor. All round fantastic service from the practice.
