My experience trying to book an appointment either by phone or using the e-consult form was disappointing. I could not do so in the last two days. Calling the surgery for support was unfortunately answered in a rude manner.

As someone with a complex medical condition, I had high hopes when I initially visited St. Andrews Medical Practice. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing and concerning. From the very beginning, it was evident that there was a lack of coordination and communication among the staff. Each appointment seemed to bring forth a new set of conflicting information, leaving me feeling confused and frustrated. What's even more alarming is the apparent disregard for patient safety. I've encountered instances where mistakes were covered up with lies, and crucial information provided by surgeons and professors was dismissed as unimportant or had not being received, It's deeply troubling to think that such negligence is putting patients' lives at risk. Overall, my time at St. Andrews Medical Practice has been marked by incompetence, disinterest, and a complete lack of accountability. I would strongly advise anyone seeking medical care to look elsewhere. It's a shame that a place meant to provide healing and support falls so short of its duty, My honest advice would be to vist the vets it certainly can't be any worse than these so called doctors or to give them their true titles box ticking clowns that are unable to think for themselves or maby they could prescribe the practice some antibiotics because it is septic to the core

I had a visit recently and was seen by a very helpful doctor who put me at ease and listened to my problems. I was very happy with what he arranged for me and that something was being done to help me.

I had a wonderful experience with a part time Doctor, who was fantastic , at this particular practice Extremely polite manner and very efficient However, it is impossible to get appointments without waiting many days and lengthy wait for telephone calls , so I cannot imagine what it must be like if you are severely ill or elderly I reiterate, my recent experience with my GP was brilliant but I understand he will be leaving in February 2024

As a patient who rarely visits the Practice ( usually for med reviews ) I had to do so twice this week and found staff at both appointments extremely helpful going far beyond my expectations . On the first to a GP referred by 111, I received a telephone call at precisely the time given. This was followed by a face to face consultation with a GP there within the hour. Early the next morning I was scanned at Royal Free ( thanks to my GP calling them). They were able to diagnose the problem prior to planned treatment. Yesterday I had a booked Travel vaccination appt in which all was carefully explained and administered. I also had my diabetic review inc foot check up at the same time- not expected as I had a booked appt for this next month. How much more could a patient expect? Absolutely nothing so thank you once again. ( I don’t think am allowed to name people involved but hopefully they will see this).

After a very long time I have found my practice has great doctors with patients at their heart. They are really interested in getting patients well quickly and also quite quick at organising quick diagnoses. Also telephone follow ups are getting normal

The care at this practice is brilliant. Like all of the NHS the demand is greater than the supply can ever meet but the team here work hard to try to manage patients fairly and once you get seen by a doctor/nurse/pharmacist they provide excellent care, are kind and show real empathy. The reception team try their hardest despite the challenges faced. In this day and age it’s hard to find a gp practice who actually still treat people as individuals and where you can truly trust the doctors and nurses. I feel lucky to be a patient here and I am grateful for their care in these challenging times for the NHS.

It is virtually impossible to get an appointment, very long waits for all appointments usually recommended to ring 111 yet the surgery are posting leaflets locally to get new patients. Totally unacceptable when they seem unable to manage the patients they already have.
