I have a medical condition, I got very unwell recently and made an e consult, unlike before I got same day appointment and seen by a locum GP increased my medication and added another one and ask me to take rest for 2 weeks and contact them.2 weeks stayed at home, condition not improved, can't walk due to back pain, called the GP practice to extend the sick leave and waiting for the hospital appointment. GP practice said to do an e consult and I did that. The next day there was a physio appointment which I attended by the help of my neighbour. For the sick note they told me wait for 4 days,I waited for 4 days then in the evening they send me a text message that someone will contact me on next week! It was already late so I called the Surgery next day . The receptionist was telling me that you have received your response in 4 days that they will contact you next week .that is one week later.I told my work place this is what happening they can't believe it.The said one week finished,no contact from them, I called them again the receptionist said there is no update she will send a request to the Doctor and will contact me ,nothing happened. Meanwhile I attended my hospital appointment ,my consultants gave me an injection in the clinic itself for my condition and did all bodd test and changed my treatment regime and also advised to take rest and get sick leave from GP. but this is my Gp doing,.This is not the first time, few months before almost same incident then I went to the Gp and requested to see the practice manager and finally got to do another e consult and got appointment. I have always problem with my medication as they never sent it on time to my pharmacy, once my Son got a skin condition needed to see a GP, he made 3 times e consult and got a reply after 48 hours that e consult cancelled as not had sufficient information on the form. After 3 failed attempts to make an appointment on line he went to the practice and said he will wait there until he see a doctor or get an appointment. The practice called the Police and the police came and ask my Son what happened and they told my son that since the practice called them they have to ask him to leave the place, but they really understand what is happening there and suggested him to go to the hospital which he did and got the treatment even though he waited in A&E for 4 hours. Few months before I made an e consult for severe back pain they arranged a physiotherapy appointment for me after 3 months without seeing me.Why nobody is taking any action about this GP practice, this is a very unsafe practice need immediate action.

  2. Review titled Totally incompetent

I sent an econsult to surgery for a worrying twitch in my eye which I had for some weeks. Was told to go see optician. Then had to make appointment with them. They gave me full eye test but I had to pay £30 as my eye test not due for year. They recommended drops another £12 and I am entitled to free prescription being in my 60s and referred me back to doctors surgery. I never heard back from them. Also have ongoing ear problem, phone consultation told to drink no tea/coffee, no sparkling water, no chewing gum and it was down to pollution. It carried on and still no appointment. I have now changed doctors and have had my ear checked which is now finally being taken quite serious. This surgery is awful and probably does more harm than good to people. I never saw a doctor and only ever spoke on phone with no follow up. Mostly became so stressed I gave up trying. I finally left and am now getting the help I need. Do not register with this surgery and if you are registered change to another surgery as soon as you can. I only wish I had known how awful this place is.

  3. Review titled Words fail me it really can't be worse

When will someone come and inspect this surgery? I am standing in the GP surgery, desperate for an appointment for my child yet told to complete an e consult. The e consult is a long form that you are only allowed to complete 4 hours a day between 8-12. The number of times I have done this and not received a call in the time specified. And if you do receive a call and you miss it (because you are working and not staring at your phone in the vain hope the GP might contact you) well you missed your chance, e consult all over again. Receptionist absolutely rude. Every single one of them. It feels like they are robots programmed to say e consult to you. I have had to contact this surgery 3 times in the last month and now will make the move. I put off making GP appointments because of the stress. My kids are now a bit older (3) so can probably walk the extra 15 minutes. Such a horrible place.

  4. Review titled Lacks empathy and feel vulnerable

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Child had blood test and DR rang today without an arranged appointment to discuss results so missed their call. Phoned surgery ans receptionist said they would pass on message and get GP to call back. Waited and few hours later told to call to get test results. Phoned back and told by receptionist that need to speak to GP. I tried explaining that I tried to and have been waiting for a callback. Receptionist says next appointment is in a weeks time. I said given that the GP called so soon after the blood test shows urgency as well as whether to continue with current medication. Receptionist said that so you’re refusing the appointment next week. Huh?!! I said no, just that it’s important given that the GP has phoned me to discuss results and you won’t give me the results or tell me whether to continue child with current meds that I have an appointment sooner. She then directs me to econsult (which is closed after 12) to make an appointment as the GP won’t call me until I make an appointment. I asked her to pass message onto GP which she said I would have to put in a request via econsult. Basic empathy and patient care is missing here. Dealing empathically with vulnerable patients does not seem to be a priority here. They cause you more stress and distress when they should be causing you no harm. Honestly, this surgery could not get any worse when it comes to patient care.

  5. Review titled Rubbish, no sense of time

Such a bad surgery, I was on time for my appointment dr came after 10 mins of my appointment and seen 40 minutes. It’s terrible I was waiting, working in busy pharmacy, but this surgery don’t care about anything rather than themselves. They takes patient for granted, we pay so much taxes and can’t have proper service once in a year. Shame

  6. Review titled This is not a Dr Surgery - it’s an admin centre

Rated 1 star out of 5

After 34 years had to leave this practice as the only recommendation they give is to go to A&E all the time. E consult always replied to by admin staff only who are unprofessional and unhelpful. At my wits end as get no medical help so had to change surgeries. This Dr Surgery is not fit for purpose and needs to close for their patients sake.

  7. Review titled Horrible GP practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

This is my GP practice in the past 5 years which I last 4 years I was not able to book an appointment to see my doctor nor nurse. I’m diabetic insulin dependent and when ever I would like to speak to the doctor they offered me e consolation. As soon as they received they’re always asking me to go to A&E although I do not need. No even basic communication between patient and doctor! Moreover, I have children 7 and 2 years old and not able to bring to the surgery when needed. What kind of patient care is that!? Do not recommend to no one.

  8. Review titled Close or do a better

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been at this GP for far to long Finally I've taken the plunge and started the process of changing. I have a child with complex needs and getting to see a doctor is a highly anxiety inducing and stressful experience. Often I hold off as long as I before completing an econsult because I know how awful the service will be. I have been reduced to tears by the surgery before and the receptionist no matter who and how many times have changed are rude and inconsiderate of the fact they are providing a level of care. They give appointments without consideration that you may be working and never offer appointments after 4.30. Often there is no doctor in the surgery so emergency appointments can't happen. Over the last year, whenever I have needed medical assistance I've needed to call 111 which are a far busier service and I have always got the help I've needed. My child complex needs are not adequately followed up and as a result of this GP have progressively got worse. I feel frustrated and upset by the fact that an NHS I love so much is represented by the people running this GP. It not working, change, do better!!! I worry for those who may have mental health issues are registered at this GP. Do not register here, you'd be better of without a GP than this one. Just the thought of almost being rid of this surgery makes me feel instantly lighter. I will say this, the nurse heard me once almost having a breakdown when in desperate need of an appointment for my son and she called me in and gave me the appointment he needed for later that day - so its not that receptionists can't give you the appointment its that they won't.

  9. Review titled Poor Medical Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I would like this medical practice reviewed for its governance in medical practice and logistics. Several econsults are required to achieve an outcome. Patients are not informed of outcomes and require to call periodically. I have mad my medication rejected on several occasions after visiting the hospital and under the care of a specialist for long-term treatment. They request to provide suitable months supply even though I am not under their care and hospital letters to them explaining the long-term medication does not provide sufficient evidence. The team seem not to act on requests. Econsult request portal is closed even during opening hours of the practice.
