Appreciate everything the NHS does for us, but wanted to leave some feedback for improvement. My elderly mother had a fall and photos sent across, whereby it looked like a broken wrist. This was established before noon and an X-Ray was to be booked by the GP. By around 4pm, we hadn't heard back, so called and were held in a 30 minute queue. It transpired that there wasn't an urgent notification with the referral, so it hadn't been processed. We were left with the option of going to A&E, which wasn't ideal at that time, as my mum was already feeling tired. We were told about an walk in hospital in Ely, but didn't think we could get there in time. The whole process could have been better with alerts/notifications along the way, or if we were told to call back by a certain time.

Had an annual checkup yesterday conducted by a nurse. A ever very professionally conducted and in a very friendly way. A follow up chat with my GP was arranged at my request. That took place the following day and my query was fully explored and I felt very satisfied. I and my family have been patients at this surgery for nearly 40 years. Every GP we have seen in this long time has been superb, I recommend this surgery to anyone.

Used to be extremely proud to be in this practice but lately it has gone beyond recognition. After finally agreeing I needed a doctors appointment (and that was no mean feat !) I was left waiting for them to allocate one for days with no contact finally got one for 3 weeks later only for it to be cancelled the day before. Another has been made for another 3 weeks time . In the mean time I’m left to manage symptoms affecting daily life. No wonder a+e isbso overrun . Waiting 7 weeks to see a gp is shocking

We transferred our elderly parents to this surgery a couple of years ago and we are so pleased that we did. The service we have received has always been helpful, understanding and courteous. The response to any email is fast and comes with a response from the GP as necessary. The GP's are always willing to make home visits to our parents, which has been invaluable and the District Nurses are involved when the need arises. We are so grateful to everyone involved in this practice.

We have been patients of the surgery for over 30 years. During that time we have never been treated with anything other than courtesy and efficiency - whether it be the receptionists, nursing staff or doctors. We have seen the same doctor in all that time which has enabled us to be confident that he is fully cognisant with our medical history. I am anxious regarding vaccinations but have always been treated with compassion and understanding which has been an enormous help.

I’ve always claimed that our GP at this practice saved my wife’s life but, my experience is much more recent. Diagnosed with blood cancer in 2020 and having 3 episodes of heart failure in 2022, I have been a drain on the practices finances and time. However, it has never felt like this. In spite of the huge challenge COVID introduced, I have had nothing but outstanding patient care from our GP and ALL the medics, nurses and office staff/reception at 1 Huntingdon Road. We are generally quick to complain but slow to praise so I felt the need to complete this review. Thank you seems a pathetic acknowledgement but it’s all I have to offer. (Apart from the biscuits and chocolate I hope they enjoyed!!) Thank you.

If I go online and book an phone appointment for 8.40am I would have expect the appointment call . No call . Called the surgery 12 in line , when I do eventually get through to ask why I haven’t had my appointment, they said the appointments arent appointments apparently it just means I’m going to get a phone call today , this is not stated in the website any where , it’s not clearly communicated .I’ve arranged to start work late for the appointment that isn’t really an appointment and now I have tell my boss that I have to take a call during work hours after arranging to start late I’m actually quite annoyed with this

Just some quick feedback to thank the team at Huntingdon Road surgery for the outstanding support given to my father following his heart operation last year. I am also particularly grateful to his doctor who actually went that extra mile to ensure his operation actually went ahead following some initial complications. Keep up the good work guys!

When you eventually get through after being lectured by someone whilst you wait to get through , your greeted by rude receptionist who do not want you to doesn’t to s docter I’m sure , she basically was telling me to wait till tomorrow even thou I was telling her , it was quite serious that I speak to a doctor ( the previous doctor had told me to call ) - she’s not a trained docter so it’s beyond me how she can ask me to wait until tomorrow . The doctor eventually called 5 hours later and agreed that I wasn’t well , and prescribed medicine . This surgery used to be helpful , my friends get f2f appt with their docter sim Cambridge but not mine . I reckon I could see the pope easier than a gp here
