I just wanted to say this practice is extremely pleasant and helpful in every way possible. From the excellent reception staff to the very competent clinical staff, every time I have contacted the surgery I am met with excellent communication, efficiency and punctuality. I am aware of the pressures gp surgeries must face given the recent health crisis and how much abuse you must receive from impatient and ungrateful people but I am astounded by the positive attitude and fantastic care they continue to maintain despite this. The practice is also commendable for its constant efforts to make things easier and simpler for us. I rather like their use of this new messaging system and website forms they have implemented as it sure is useful not to call and wait and I would hate to hog the lines for small things! I never have any problems ordering my prescriptions or requesting appointments that are always given to me in a quick and appropriate timeframe. The PA’s and Gp’s I have encountered are also very knowledgeable and reassuring. I always feel confident and cared for after leaving my appointments. A special thank you to the receptionist I spoke to last week who was so thorough and courteous. It is always nice to be listened to and feel that your health is under good hands and the wonderful staff of this practice certainly fit this role. Keep up the fantastic work

Twice now after not being able to get through due to no one answering the phone I have booked online for a call back. Did I get one..... of course not both occasions left without help. A very poor service that we pay for! That's right you are employed by us. We go out and work and do our jobs for you to treat the people who pay your wages to have to find help elsewhere. Both occasions I ended up in A and E. Absolute disgrace

Reception staff and doctors are extremely unhelpful (rude too at points!). I’m sick and tired of constantly being passed about like I’m not an actual person, it’s got to the point now where I actually don’t think I’m ever going to ask for help again out of fear the same stuff will happen. If you enjoy feeling all alone and being passed from pillar to post then this is the surgery for you!

I phoned the surgery - just wanted to ask a simple question regarding my medication - and I found the member of staff I spoke to very rude and abrupt. I always feel uncomfortable having to contact the surgery. I should not have to feel like this as I only ring the surgery if necessary.

I phoned the surgery today to ask a question regarding my medication, I found the receptionist very rude and abrupt. It left me feeling very uncomfortable and anxious.

Early diagnosis of hernia followed up by a review and referral for surgery all within 12 weeks. Seen by same GP at all appointments. Presently recovering well GP was attentive and responsive to my increasing pain and limited mobility.

My situation regarding medication etc has been fairly complicated recently (through no fault of the surgery) but the staff have been incredibly patient and helpful, and not only resolved the problems but did so with understanding and efficiency, making things a lot easier for me. Having seen the situation in some other countries I consider myself very lucky to have the facilities we have and especially the supportive attitude of the staff.

Rang at 9:20, Doctor rang back to do phone consultation at 9:30 and booked an appointment for 11:30 the same morning. Brilliant service from Reception and Doctor.

The NHS may be breaking in many places but not at Abbey lane Surgery . Within 1 hr of sending the” Get help with a health problem” e-mail available on the surgery’s website I had received phone call from the surgery’s receptionist saying that blood tests and X-rays had been booked in for me and fortunately I was able to have both at the Royal Hallamshire within 3 hours the same afternoon! Following my time at RHH and checking my mobile a further appointment doctor’s appointment had been booked as and when the test results would be available. This required surgery admin staff working efficiently and professionally with surgery staff and hospital booking systems.

I Think the Practice is Excellent all the staff I have had contact with are always Kind and helpful. They always do their best to solve any problems and put the patient first. You are very lucky if you are a patient of theirs. Fantastic Thank you
