  2. Review titled Kindness and professionalism

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This is a great practice. My mum is frail and elderly and so I have to ask for help quite often. I’m always so pleased at how decent kind and professional the team are right from reception to clinicians. I work in the NHS myself so know the pressures they are under and I’m delighted at how they still manage to be so good. Well done and thank you all !!

  3. Review titled Brilliant service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I rang at 8am,my call was answered immediately and after all the necessary chat with the receptionist, including a brief description of symptoms I was given a face to face appointment for 9.10am. Arrived for appointment and was seen by probs 9. 20am . A doctor I had not seen before, she was very helpful and took time to listen and explain things. Prescription sent electronically to pharmacy, so by 10.15am I was back home with medication. 10/10 from me.

  4. Review titled Never answer the phones

i have been at Wilson st for over 15 years used to be a great doctors. Since covid no one seems to care will not answer calls e-mail them and all they do is send one back to call them. We know they are busy but so is the rest of the world. would be nice if they just did the jobs they are paid for like the rest of us.

Dear Mr Pennells. It is disappointing to note that you feel it more appropriate to voice your concerns here with no context. I can see that we responded to your email with two hours of it being raised despite the fact that our email facility indicates that we will respond to you within 2 working days. If you feel you have a complaint to make, please raise it with the surgery. Thanks you Sue Altoft Practice Manager

  5. Review titled Exemplary service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by D.Petts - Posted on 08 March 2023

I attended my first in person appointment at Wilson Street Surgery and the service received from all staff I met was exemplary. The receptionists were welcoming, caring and helpful. On leaving the surgery I had a question about a test the doctor had ordered, and I returned to reception to get an answer. The receptionists were patient and understanding of my many questions and anxiety. They took prompt action, sent the doctor a message and promised to phone with the answer, which was done later that day. They kept their promise. The doctor I saw was professional yet compassionate and listened to my perspective on my issue, which he took into account when he made his assessment. As a result, I left the surgery with two of the most basic needs met, being truly heard and feeling cared for, by all the staff I met at my visit. Thanks to all the staff who truly 'served' on my visit that day.

  6. Review titled Astonishing

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bewildered Patient - Posted on 01 February 2023

Another Healthcare professional contacted the surgery to request some assistance for myself. The receptionist told the professional that I must phone back the following day. I was told by the other person that this has never happened in their professional career before and that surgeries they have dealt with usually act/prescribe when requested by another Healthcare person. Not the first time this has been an issue, albeit slightly different, a couple of months ago. Poor service, the surgery has gone rapidly downhill over time.

  7. Review titled Distressing experience.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 January 2023

Have found the experience very saddening. Felt juggled around by the GPs and brushed under the carpet. The access has been awful and when eventually seen by somebody, the lack of understanding in mental health is dreadful. They prescribe drugs and do not provide referrels for actual treatments.
