There’s been quite a few errors. I got a text to say I had a booked appointment but when I got there I didn’t. They never open at their contracted hours. Today I stayed on hold from 8.25-9am which is when they open their appointment line. I’m pretty sure that goes against the GP contract. One of the receptionists is so rude with 0 bedside manner.

I got an appointment to see a doctor very quickly. The doctor was very knowledgeable. I was then able to book an appointment for blood tests for the next day. The staff and Doctors at this practice are all really nice and very helpful. The appointment system is also very good. I would highly recommend this practice!!!

Dr I saw today was fantastic, so helpful and understanding and the receptionists were fantastic and so helpful. The practice fitted me in when needed

Practice is run for benefit of staff not patients. Rang after holding for 5 minutes was cut off. Recorded message states register to book appointments on line, great in theory but when you try - no appointments available. Went for flu jab booking system not switched on, after waiting 15 minutes afer nurse came out and asked if anyone waiting for flu jab. We all (7 people) said yes then we were informed we hadn't booked in!

I rang to book an appointment and was told the earliest would been in 2 1/2 weeks time. I was treated with absolutely no respect even though I was more than respectful and understanding of how busy the reception staff are. I am now going without an appointment due to the utter disrespect. Don’t go to this practice

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback regarding our appointment system. The Gables Surgery is working very hard to try and meet the demands for all of the registered patients at the practice. We have now employed 3 Advanced Practitioners to help with the workload, plus a new Practice Nurse and Phlebotomist, plus other services and health professionals to try and ensure that our patient needs are met. Please be aware that you can use the e-consultation service for anything that is not urgent and a GP will look at this and you will receive a response within 48 hours.
