Great experience from first point of contact over the telephone with all the team that dealt with my query in a prompt caring manner. The GP was excellent and gave me complete reassurance with his words and action .

I’ve only been a patient at this practise for 6 months but I really rate it and feel very grateful that this is my doctor’s surgery. I had an infected spot so called asking for advice. An hour later the duty doctor called and after a telephone consultation I was prescribed what I needed and was able to collect the medication from the pharmacy next door. This is typical of their quick and effective service! The staff are so professional, kind and really listen to you. I have always managed to get an appointment when needed, for me and my baby daughter, usually on the same day. It seems to be a very well managed practise where resources are well used allowing it to run very efficiently. The atmosphere of the surgery is calming and quiet. I have come into contact with a number of different staff and all have been lovely and also seem to enjoy their jobs. I feel very lucky to be a patient at this surgery!

I’ve just switched my gp practice with extreme caution and to my surprise the wonderful receptionist starts by apologising for a 4 minute delay in answering my call (it’s usually 40 plus at my previous practice). Books me in for the following week and apologises it’s not sooner and my first appointment made me feel like I’d never experienced healthcare before! I honestly can’t thank this team enough and wanted them to know how much it meant to me to feel valued. And I thought my previous practice was pretty good! So thank you and keep doing what you’re doing… I’ve honestly never seen a waiting room of patients all with smiles on their faces despite being there for treatment. You guys are superstars!

I first registered with Brig Royd in 1989 and had consistently excellent treatment from everyone. We moved away for 10 years and have recently returned - and I’m delighted to see that Brig Royd is still so good. I am so appreciative of the fact that I can talk to a real person so easily - on reception or a nurse or doctor - and appointments are face to face if needed - everyone is friendly and I feel very well cared for - thank you to the whole team!

Can’t fault the staff at all, all were so lovely over the multiple visits I’ve made recently. I’ve been able to speak to receptionists and see the doctors with ease and without having to ring up and wait for hours to speak to someone. Everyone has been so kind and professional and I only can thank you all for all the help received.

I have had lots of contact with this surgery on behalf of my mother who has dementia. I have always been able to gain access to appointments. The reception staff have always been really polite and helpful. I have found the GPS to be compassionate, caring and responsive to the complex care needs of both my parents . I write this review because my experience has been consistently positive .

I have been a patient at Brig Royd for over 12 years, in that time my family and I have had nothing but an exceptional service, Doctors, nurses and receptionists all go above and beyond dealing with any concerns with dignity and empathy. I often express my gratitude to family and friends stating how lucky we are having such a wonderful practice. Many thanks for making life a little easier. Keep up the fantastic work.

Making an appointment: easily done by phone. Waiting area: warm, comfortable, felt at ease. Meeting my GP: friendly, searching and thorough. Purpose of visit was for a review of medication as blood pressure thought to be a little high by nurse practitioner. I had taken my own blood pressure readings at home and some of these were thought a little high. As a result of the consultation the outcome did not suggest any changes to my medication. As is good medicine there was some probing into psychological matters that may be affecting my BP. This was helpful as I have felt somewhat down recently as a result of events in my life. A friendly talk with the GP went significantly towards setting my mind at rest. In short, I felt a lot better leaving the surgery than when I went in.

I have been with this practice since the 1980's and have only received the best of treatment all through this time. This extends to all the staff and their exemplary management of the practice even through the most difficult of times such as the recent pandemic. The staff are always courteous and professional and I never feel 'brushed off'. Mostly I can get an appointment within 24 hours. I could single out one or two names but apparently I am not allowed , but I know no other practice where the GP calls you to check on your progress. A number of years ago I had a very nasty accident in France and was admitted to hospital there and to my astonishment my GP rang me there to enquire after my welfare!! I am always lauding the tremendous treatment I've had at Brig Royd to my friends and family. They are very jealous! I hear the experience people have with other practices and I am thankful every day that I am with Brig Royd. Well done, you all deserve a medal.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking BrigRoyd surgery for exemplary response to a medical issue raised with you this week. The receptionist was fast and responsive providing me with a face-to-face appointment with the doctor within 24 hours. I saw a Doctor this morning(Friday, 6th January, 2023) who provided a thorough check on my medical issue with a further precautionary direction to attend hospital which he arranged there and then. I was seen by a range of medical staff at Huddersfield Royal infirmary the very same morning. All were extremely friendly, efficient and kind. A big shout out for primary and secondary healthcare in Calderdale!  I would also add that when my wife and I raise issues with your surgery we invariably get excellent attention and follow up. Well done and with many thanks.
