    I needed to book in for my annual blood tests. The receptionist was helpful and booked me a time that aas suitable around work and school pickups

    When I called about a prescription on Monday I was told I would need to speak to a Dr and to add my query to Patchs. I finally got through on to Patchs and added my query. I received a phone call today at 14.04 from an abrupt receptionist telling me firstly that is not what the service was for which is not what the lady said in the week. A very rude lady who once I explained what my issue was told me that a Dr would not call me back and that I need to call the pharmacy. At the end slammed the phone down. Please give your receptionist’s training so I didn’t need to initially fill out the form and manners so they speak nicely to patients. You ask patients to respect your staff but it works both ways. In all the years I have been at your GP practice this has been the rudest phone call.

    Dear Parbene, I have been speaking to our patient services manager this morning and she has informed me that she contacted you last week to discuss this issue so I am glad this has been followed up before me.     My doctor went above and beyond to help me when I had hit rock bottom. I was given time and all sorts of support including extra calls back from both the doctor and the receptionist. I can not thank you enough for how you helped me and continue to help and support me.

    Been phoning every day for 3 weeks never got through complete waste of time. Can't book an appointment online either so what am I supposed to do? Go to a&e and clog the corridors again?

This is with our current phone line providers but we are also exploring other possible solutions which we strongly believe will help the experience.     Had a telephone appointment which I made on the faces system which was easy to use when doctor called me she asked if I could go in and see her face to face which then she reffered me for the dress x rsu

    I was treated very quickly regarding an issue I had. After my initial phone consultation, I was seen by a physio the following morning and was given an x ray card to go to hospital. I was then seen within 40 minutes at the hospital. Thanks for the quick response.

    Most helpful but sometimes fall short on providing correct information or documents and one person contradicting the other. Actual care from doctors and nurses is excellent. The biggest gripe is regarding confusing regarding which location to attend be it Bowling or Highfield, The practice name of Bowling Highfield is totally confusing when it come to appointments - you always have to clarify which venue to attend as messages just say Bowling Highfield - ok so which venue? Also, having to wait 45 mins to arrange an appointment, only to be then told none left, is totally unacceptable! Also, waiting a similar amount of time to ask reception a question is unacceptable! You should have two options, one for book appointments and one for discussing anything but appointments. Yes you may need 2 staff to do this rather than one, but waiting 45 minds to ask a question is unacceptable!

    Thank you for your review, we appreciate it. Firstly, we would like to thank you for the kind words and appreciation of our Nurses and Doctors. Touching on your first point regarding being provided different information by different staff members, this is something we work on regularly. We have admin staff meetings twice a month bringing up subjects that need working on that have been raised to us (like points made in this review for example, that's why they are so useful to us). We also allow our admin team to bring up any subject that they feel they would like a refresher on to bring them up to speed. The amount of information the team have to retain as well as new information they have to learn on a regular basis is a lot and rightly so. In regards to the Bowling Highfield confusion, I have checked our reminder message today and it states which site you are going to specifically. Then, touching on the waiting time, numerous phone lines being open and how many staff members we have managing the phones. The waiting time to get through on the phones is something we are very well aware of, we have been monitoring and looking at potential solutions to help solve this issue. We have an average of 4 members of staff on our phone lines per shift but unfortunately, sickness challenges this. Over the past 2 weeks, we have received positive feedback over the waiting times when we have been fully staffed. Finally, we used to have the options to press when contacting the surgery. However, through feedback and also looking at the data. If we have the options enabled, there was delays getting through. If we had one member of staff on the prescription line, one on the admin line and 2 on the appointments line, it would take a while to get through to one specific line if there is a build up. However if all 4 lines are open with no options selected, we found that it speeds up the process. I know this is a long response back but once again, we really do appreciate your review and comments as it allows us to reflect on everything to ensure we can improve. Many Thanks, BHMP

    Once i knew what i was doing it was not a bad experience found it easy needed a bit of help from reception team which they guided me with success will use again if need be.
