    No availability for a face-to-face appointment at any of their practices until 30 January 2024 (it's currently 19 December 2023). The receptionist didn't even ask what was wrong with me.,

    Dear Paul, thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to read about your poor experience when contacting our surgery. 6 weeks is certainly much longer than we would hope for and will be offering additional appointments over the next few months to reduce this wait. I am disappointed to hear that you were not asked what the problem was as there are usually alternative options available rather than waiting to see a GP eg extended access, submitting an online consultation or seeing a physio etc. I will feed this back to our team and I have copied the link should you wish to submit an online consultation which we aim to answer within 72 hours www.nidderdalegrouppractice.co.uk/online-consultations Sarah Wood, Practice Manager

    Had a flu jab. Was reminded by email, given an exact appointment time, arrived two minutes ahead, was seen and jabbed within two minutes.

    It was a very quick service and appointment. I saw a lovely kind doctor. Had plenty of time for the patient and I didn’t feel rushed at all. Parking is good and the waiting area lovely.

    Very professional well organised caring and patient. Always willing to try to accommodate my difficulties. This includes every aspect of the of the surgery operations. There is an encouraging even cheerful quality from reception onwards. The only problem I experienced is telephone waiting but that is very common these days. Other than that I have the highest regard for the whole practice.

    , I went for blood tests, as I have very low vit D I asked twice for them to be done, she never did them even tho she assured me she would, do I had to make another app, but had to wait 9 weeks, even tho not my fault, I feel there is no care in this surgery, cannot go anywhere else as they have all the other surgeries in the area , you have to wait weeks for an app even tho when I go past there’s hardly no one in. Gone are the days when you choose to be a dr or nurse because you have a calling to help people.

    Dear Sue We are very sorry to hear of this, which does suggest a misunderstanding. There is not a nine week wait for a blood test appointment, and if the wait ever rises to one or two weeks patients can take a form to one of the walk-in clinics on any working day. Please contact the practice manager if you would like to discuss the appointments at which you felt the blood test was not carried out so that we can look into what went wrong. Please accept our apologies as it sounds as though your experience did not reflect the high standard of care to which our very dedicated and hard working healthcare professionals aspire.

    Feel lucky to have such a great doctor practitioner. My e-consultation was answered within the hour by a phone call from the doctor who was able to discuss and help me with my medical issue.

    Cannot get anyone to answer the telephone wait time at least 40 minutes plus often message says number five etc in the queue wait for ever on phone often to be cut off at number one in the queue - very stressful for patients - terrible service not receptionists fault shes trying to do her job but the service is appalling - get the feeling as do other patients that they dont want you to ring them and bother them!!

    We are sorry that patients are still experiencing long waits to get through on the 'phone. We met with our 'phone provider this week and they have identified a glitch which may have been causing some of the problems so we hope that waiting times may improve going forward. However, the fact remains that we still have a depleted Reception Team due to ongoing sickness and problems with recruitment, despite a constant recruitment drive. This is something that we share with our colleagues nationally but is non-the-less frustrating to both patients and ourselves. We ask that patients please bear with us during this very difficult period.
