So I’ve had my ups and downs with this practice over the years, having struggled with ‘women’s problems’ since 18. Normally depending on who I would see, I’d most of the time feel like it was all in my head and all entirely normal, even when taking time off work for pain. I got an appointment this morning with someone I’d never seen before, fully prepared to fight for myself and feel heard it was all for nothing. She was absolutely brilliant, I felt listened too, understood, validated and for the first time in a long time I actually feel supported. I had an appointment with my son as he also needed assessing and she was flawless. Just a really good, I believe new, addition to the practice. I wish they were all like her.

  2. Review titled Disappointed 😞

Arrived for appointment today. Went to reception desk. Receptionist asked my name etc then stated 'oh yes for your appointment with so and so the mental health nurse' ... so everyone in waiting area could hear. Er GDPR? Secondly half an hour after my appointment time me and the next appointment were informed nurse had car trouble and would get there as soon as possible, but no ETA. Couldn't wait so was told I would go back on waiting list but would be somewhere near top. Later received polite call from my own practise wondering what had happened. They didn't seem to be aware of what had happened as they had been asked by the aforementioned nurse to contact me. Not to arrange an appointment but to ask why I hadn't been there. I've not used this particular service before and was already anxious about attending. Gives me no confidence going forward and half an hour for this kind of appointment? Feeling rushed and I've not even attended yet.

  3. Review titled Poor Practice

I submitted an econsult on Tuesday 9th April and received a phone call from the reception supervisor who told me to do a Covid test before I could proceed any further. She could tell I could hardly even speak on the phone as I had no voice due to a very chesty cough. On my econsult I stated that I had a chesty cough and sore throat and would like to be seen and apparently this can’t be dealt with by submitting an econsult I was told. I bought a Covid test and sent proof of my negative result, then the supervisor books me in for a telephone appointment?! How can this be examined over the phone? I get a phone call and the doctor just advises to take paracetamol, use Vicks etc which I explained I am already doing this and felt like I needed something else to help with my symptoms as this was having no effect, however the Nurse Practitioner just advised me if I get any worse to call back but I’m already in enough pain and not sleeping, but because I only had the cough 5 days I couldn’t be prescribed anything? Yet I work in a GP surgery and spoke to one of the doctors here because I was becoming progressively worse. When he checked me over it turns out I have tonsillitis, a chest infection and an ear infection! Absolutely shocking that I was not seen face to face and the doctor just diagnosed me over the phone without doing any physical examinations and that I was just dismissed like that!

  4. Review titled Fantastic practice

I visited the practice yesterday and the nurse practitioner was very attentive and listened to what I had to say. She was very understanding as I had been feeling really unwell so she organised for me to have a few blood tests done! She was really empathetic, caring which is always nice to experience when you are not feeling great. The receptionists are always friendly and very approachable. I would highly recommend Woodbridge practice to my family and friends as I have had no issues. Thank you for everything you do for me it’s really appreciated!

Seen a doctor for the second time about new and ongoing severe skin problems with my 6 month old doctor said he would prescribe an item needed and make sure referral was sent as requested by myself and slither health professional doctor didn't do prescription forgot to even prescribe said item or to send urgently needed referral. Phone up a week after to check on the issue and was told it was being dealt with. To phone 3 weeks later and find no referral has been sent or made.vl

  6. Review titled Brilliant practice. 54yrs of being well looked after.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ernest Lazenby - Posted on 01 November 2023

Visit surgery 9.45am Monday morning 30th. Said I had lost my hearing in left ear and probably have an ear infection. Very nice receptionist arranges for me to have a telephone consultation later that day. Got home and 2 hours later receptionist rings to advise I can see a doctor at 1.30pm. A very pleasant Doctor seen, ear infection confirmed and prescribes medication. 20 minutes later I leave the Pharmacy with medication. Brilliant. 54 years of being looked after well by the surgery. What's not to like. Treat folk properly and you get looked after well. Brilliant service. Have done well by my me, my wife and family for many decades.

  7. Review titled It is not the GP who is at fault, Reception sections are

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Paul Sellars - Posted on 15 September 2023

I ordered Prescription on 12/09/2023. They rang me and I rang them back, to confirm the Prescription, who they said it was with the GP. I rang today 15/09/2023 and waited 26 Minutes to speak with someone. Once I got through, i gave them my details and about the Prescription not been activated by the GP, then they tell me, it has not gone to the GP till this morning (@09:02). Someone on the 12th, lied to me saying it was already with the GP and I was expecting it to be sorted and Pharmacy to deal with. It is now weekend and I will not receive my Prescription till a week later. The service of the Woodbridge Practice Reception Team is very poor

  8. Review titled Access to a Doctor Denied

Rated 1 star out of 5

by David Wilson - Posted on 12 June 2023

My wife saw a doctor last week as her breathing was difficult. She had a bad cough and a slight temperature. The doctor said there was nothing wrong but return if you do not improve. Over the weekend she got worse. Barking cough, saw throat, difficulty in breathing, pain in her back and a temperature. This morning the receptionist denied my wife an appointment with a doctor or access to the surgery until she had taken a covid 19 test. There are no covid 19 restrictions in the United Kingdom. My wife has been denied access to a doctor by a receptionist who is enforcing rules that do not exist.

Dear Patient, We do ask patients with COVID symptoms, to do a COVID test before attending for an appointment. This is designed to ensure we protect vulnerable patients and all staff within the practice. When we see COVID positive patients in the practice, we ask for them to wait in their car, so the appropriate PPE measures can be put in place, to protect vulnerable patients and the clinician. After the clinician has seen the patient, the room is made sterile for the next patient. The above is fully explained to any suspected COVID patient when asked to do their COVID tests. No patient is ever refused an appointment. Practice Manager

  9. Review titled Couldn't fault service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sarah - Posted on 21 June 2023

On the morning of my appointment, the GP phoned in sick (these things happen) the receptionist couldn't have tried harder to sort out another appointment for me, unfortunately there wasn't one available that day but I was offered one for a couple of days later. I left the surgery happy and was most surprised to then receive a telephone call from the practice nurse to check if there was anything she could do to help in the meantime. I honestly couldn't have received any better service from Woodbridge and after reading bad reviews it only seems fair to leave a good review to balance it.
