Covid-19 and In Pharmacy Policy

Due to Covid-19 and the governments recommendation of maintaining a 2 meter social distance, we are only allowing three people in at any one time. There are yellow crosses on the floor where we would like customers to stand if at all possible and there is a yellow line which you MUST stay behind unless called forward. This is to protect our staff to ensure we are able to remain open during this epidemic. Over the coming days you may see perspex screens appear and again this is for the protection of staff.

If you or ANYONE in your household shows symptoms of Coronavirus, such as a fever greater than 37.8°C or a new continuous cough (that is different to normal - if applicable) then please DO NOT ATTEND, but you may give us a call on the numbers provided on this page.

Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times.

*Important information regarding our Prescription delivery service*

Please note this service is for our vulnerable, housebound and infirm patients. This is a free service that we as Curries Chemist offer.
A charge of £2 will be made if you are not at home the first time we attempt to deliver, and  we have to redeliver at another time. If you wish to collect your prescriptions instead, please let us know.
There is no set time for a delivery service slot. Prescriptions on delivery, will be delivered between 12-4pm(depending on amount of workload).
Please note many other pharmacies now charge for Prescription delivery, as there is no NHS obligation to home deliver any prescription.
Thank you for your understanding.

Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire 2018/19

Every year we undertake an annual patient survey to enable our patients to provide valuable feedback on the services that we provide. The survey, undertaken by all community pharmacies in England, is called the Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire. The report of our survey results allows us to identify the areas where we are performing most strongly, the areas for improvement and the actions required to address issues raised by respondents. Our results for 2018/19 are provided here.

Electronic Prescription Service

This pharmacy offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you have nominated, this means:

  • If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving you time.
  • You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
  • You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.
