Overview

West Berkshire Community Hospital combines and replaces the services previously provided by both Newbury and Sandleford Hospitals.

The inpatient units accept people from home and from acute wards for rehabilitation and step-down care.

Patients can be given extra therapy as we try to get them back to how they were before they became ill.

If patients are at home, our units can prevent them from having to go into an acute hospital.

We try to get people back to being independent; however, this might not happen for everyone.

Our hospital is nurse-led.
