Due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), the dental workforce are prioritising care and personal protective equipment for children and adults with potentially life threatening dental conditions such as:
- Bleeding: uncontrolled intra-oral bleeding
- Swellings: spreading, recurrent or continuing and/or potentially; resulting in air-way management issues
- Trauma: severe dental trauma injuries
- Pain – severe and uncontrolled dental pain
Birmingham Community Healthcare Trust dental division is likewise prioritising urgent dental care over routine treatments. All routine services for patients have, therefore, been cancelled with immediate effect.
This is to is to reduce virus transmission and in order to keep everyone safe and healthy – yourself, your friends and family, and the teams who would ordinarily be supporting your dental care.
