Epsom Hospital provides a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and day services.
It operates a busy, 24-hour accident and emergency service that sees 44,000 people every year. It also undertakes the vast majority of elective (pre-booked) inpatient surgery at the Trust.
The hospital hosts an extensive range of diagnostic and supporting services at Epsom, including pathology, radiology (including CT, MRI and ultrasound) and vascular diagnostic services, as well as a busy modern purpose-built day care and day surgery unit.
There's also a maternity unit, dedicated children's ward and our ear, nose and throat department.
Over recent months, we have spent millions of pounds improving the services we provide at Epsom, including investments in our stroke unit, day surgery unit and pharmacy, amongst many others.
The world renowned Elective Orthopaedic Centre (the EOC) also sits on the hospital site, and is operated by the Trust in partnership with neighbouring trusts. The centre provides orthopaedic services, including hip and knee replacements, to patients of St George's, Croydon Health Services and Kingston hospitals as well as patients from Epsom and St Helier.
The hospital is also home to the Macmillan Butterfly Centre, where cancer patients and their loved ones can access free complementary therapies, counselling and advice.
Finally, the site also includes an acute psychiatric facility operated by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
