Dr (Mrs) Bindi Shah

Dental Practitioner

Bindi  qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine (Cardiff) in 2001. She then worked in general practice in London and Hertfordshire. She became the Principal Dental Surgeon of Ashwell Dental Surgery in October 2004 and is completed her MFGDP qualification in November 2007. Bindi is very passionate about dentistry and has the constant desire and drive to learn new and exciting techniques. She enjoys working with nervous patients and children helping them to reduce their anxiety.

As Ashwell Dental Surgery’s reputation for quality care grew, in 2006 she expanded the practice from two surgeries to four in order to meet demand.

Bindi became the Co-Principal Dental Surgeon of Hoddesdon Dental Surgery in April 2007 and became the Prinicipal Dental Surgeon of Great Shelford Dental Surgery in December 2012. .

Bindi has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and in September 2009 she completed a year long course in cosmetic dentistry.  She undertakes the restorative part of implants and is also a Clear braces and six months smile practitioner.

Bindi is always happy to discuss in confidence with patients and prospective patients any issues they may have clinical or non clinical.

Dr Sogol Mousavi

Dental Practitioner

Sogol graduated from King's College  London in 2012.She is dedicated to continued learning and keeping up to date with current and new concept in dentistry.Her approach to dentistry is to motivate patients to achieve high standard of oral health  and believes in prevention over cure.

She continuously attends seminars and courses so she can offer highest standard of care to all patients.

Sogol  has a special Interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry and has just finished  a one year course in cosmetic dentistry.

Sogol has found it particularly rewarding seeing nervous patients of all ages overcome their fears to become regular attenders.

Dr Shreena Patel

Dental Practitioner

Shreena graduated from King's College London in 2016. She is a friendly and dedicated member of the team who understands the needs and expectations of her patients to provide a high standard of care.

She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular strength in helping patients overcome their dental anxiety.

Outside Dentistry, Shreena enjoys travelling and cooking.

Mrs Marie Jackson


Marie started Dental Nursing after leaving school and went on to train at University College Dental Hospital qualifying in 1986.  As a dental nurse she worked in both hospital and practice.

Marie trained as a Dental hygienist at Kings College Hospital qualifying in 1993.

She joined us at Ashwell in October 2008 and is an integral part of the team.

Marie enjoys beadwork and reading in her spare time.

Dr (Mr) Bikram Bal

Oral Surgeon

Bikram qualified from King’s College Dental School, London, in 1992 obtaining BDS and subsequently LDS, RCS qualifications. He spent one year in general dental practice before entering into Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in hospital. He passed the FDS RCS exam in July 1997. In March 2000, Bikram was placed on the Specialist list held by the GDC in the UK.

Bikram has also been working in private oral surgery practice since 1996 and is a visiting specialist based in St.Albans, London and Cork. Currently, he also works as Specialist Oral Surgeon and Clinical Lead of Specialist Dental Services for Hammersmith and Fulham PCT.

Implantology has been a great interest over the last twelve years, and he has been involved in their placement in both hospital services and in general practice. He exclusively uses the Straumann implant system and places them both in the UK and Ireland. He is also able to offer a full range of Oral Surgery services

He is a member of the BAOMS, SAAD, ITI and the British Association of Oral Surgeons.

Dr (Mr) Priyesh Shah

Dental Practitioner

Priyesh graduated from Manchester in 1999, achieved his MFDS qualifications from Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2002. He completed his Masters in Clinical Dentistry, with Distinction, in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute (UCL). He is now on the Specialist list in Prosthodontics, held by the GDC in the UK.

He has a particular interest in full mouth rehabilitation cases, toothwear, and multiple missing teeth, using crowns, bridges and dentures. He prides himself on the quality of his work, and providing the best possible care for his patients.

Priyesh also places and restores dental implants. This can range from single implant cases to implant overdentures and full arch fixed implant cases.

In his spare time, Priyesh enjoys playing football, golf and all racquet sports.
