Edgware Community Hospital walk-in centre re-opens 1 October 2021
Our NHS walk-in centre at Edgware Community Hospital re-opens on Friday 1 October 2021 - increasing access for local residents to urgent healthcare appointments and helping to relieve pressure on local A&Es.
The NHS in North Central London made the difficult decision to temporarily close the walk-in service during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, including Edgware Community Hospital walk-in centre.
Services available from 1 October 2021
While the NHS remains extremely busy, we are pleased to be in the position to re-open the centre as a nurse-led walk-in clinic from 08:00 to 18:00, seven days a week, in the first instance.
Residents with an urgent healthcare need can access care at the centre on a walk-in basis but may need to wait to be seen while the most urgent cases are prioritised.
COVID-19 safety measures for service-users
Due to ongoing COVID-19 safety measures, all patients and visitors will be screened before entering the walk-in centre.
We have reduced the capacity of our waiting room to ensure social distancing, and you may need to need to wait elsewhere after your appointment is confirmed, then return to be seen. Unless you are vulnerable, you will need to visit walk-in centre and attend your appointment alone.
All visitors must wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules at all times while visiting the walk-in centre. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, you must not attend your appointment (visit the NHS.UK website for information on COVID-19 symptoms).
