Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) provides healthcare in the community for over 1.2 million people across Hertfordshire, and across the whole of the East of England. We are a caring, agile and innovative organisation which supports people at every stage of their lives - from birth to end-of-life care. Over 3,000 staff deliver a wide range of care to people in their homes, in local clinics, in schools and in our community hospitals, so that people get the best possible care and we create healthier communities. The Trust has been at the forefront of the COVID-19 response, by making sure that people still receive their care, despite the pandemic, and by delivering the COVID-19 vaccination programme, through vaccination centres and in schools. Our services are well established and we have built up a proud reputation for quality and excellence, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff.
Our Vision: “Outstanding services, healthier communities”
Our Values: Innovative, Caring, Agile
The Trust employs over 3,000 staff and is one of the largest employers in Hertfordshire.
Our staff include health visitors, nurses (general and specialist), doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, ophthalmologists, audiologists, podiatrists and dietitians and a range of other health care professionals.
We recognise the importance of the support of our staff in achieving our aims and objectives and enjoy good working relationships with staff groups and their representatives. A comprehensive workforce development plan is in place to underpin this approach.
